The uber drivers I've chatted with have indicated that they receive 75% of the fare (plus any tips) Considering the relatively high price of fuel in CR, and maintenance factors, it's hard to tell if the drivers make any money, or if they are just churning cash flow.
As a rider, let's take the lowest price quoted and go from there. If Didi or Lyft are cheaper to use than taxis or Uber, what the heck.
Uber's technology does adjust fares based on traffic and also based on demand.
