I wouldn't stay at the Tiquicia Hotel if it was free.
It's more of a hostel. The bathrooms are down a hall not in your room.
You get what you pay for.
That's what I thought it was, it even says on the outside "Hotel and Hostel Tiquicia" (at the Dunn Inn now and did a bit of recon of the immediate area). I had been considering it for a budget option, but decided against it. Decided against the Castillo too, much of it seems to be old and rundown, it needs a thorough renovation (like was done with the Amistad and Dunn Inn) before I'd stay there.
The $50 standard rooms (CRT rate, taxes included) at the Dunn Inn are real nice: new tiling, beds, bathroom fixtures, 32" LCD TV's, modern remote-control AC unit, good WiFi (at least in my room

). Definitely one of the best values.
