You're an unbelievable ass.
Nope, I was wrong, I've got a few more words. As much as I disagree with this stupid, stupid policy, the bottom line is that after 9/11, there were many false stories disseminated about the terrorists coming into the US from Canada. Even after it was proved that these were false, the media still blamed Canada for letting the terrorists across the border in a rampant act of NIMBYism that still boggles the mind. You think that even though it's not true that the terrorists entered the US from Canada that we're going to allow that kind of slander to happen again? I really suspect that this is what's behind this ridiculous reaction on the part of the Canadian government.
The fact is,
your country, ie the US, over successive administrations, laid the groundwork for the terrorist acts committed on 9/11 as well as before & after that date. That doesn't mean the US deserved it or that it's warranted, but there's a reason these terrorists are targeting your country. Your post tells me that while you're happy ragging on others, you don't have the courage to dissect your own country's shortcomings with any sort of objectivity.

It's this attitude, specifically that many Americans can't believe that other people can love their countries as much as you love yours, that will ensure that guys will risk blowing off their nutsacks just to blow up one of your planes.
Oh stop it...you're making a fool of yourself. The only good things to come from Canada are Wayne Gretzky, Bobby Orr, SCTV and the rock band April Wine. I spent the first 20 years of my life four miles from the Canadian border, so don't talk to me about Customs. We used to walk across the border and back on a regular basis. Every weekend we would go across the border to bars in Canada. I've known a couple families who got wealthy from bring liquor across the border, with the 'aid' of both Canadian and American customs officials. They would time the crossings to coincide when their 'friends' were working Customs. Money talks. I've had several friends who were Customs officials on both sides of the border.
Hell, I was raised on Molson, Labatts ('50', many years before 'Blue' came out) and Okeefe beer. Thirty-five or so years ago there used to be a beer called Brador, made by Molsen. Its alcohol content was about 6%, double that of 'regular' beer. Apparently it is still made, with a silver label. When it first came out in the early-seventies, it had a black label.
