I will be making my first trip onFeb. 18-25. I have a room booked at the SL for the trip. Now I have been talking to Eddie at ZB and he is doing a great sales job on one of the suites. Now here is the question. Where would you stay for your first trip to CR? I have to say that after reading everything from you guess about ZB and SL I know I can't go wrong either way. SO what do you think?

I say ZB, but I'm an undersexed, nymphomaniac who can't stand wasting time drinking when I could be phuking.

If sex isn't the only reason for your trip (it usually is for me), then SL would be good for you.

However, if you plan on bedding every kitten you see, ZB is the place for you.

You will love the Zona Blue. Their service is great and so are the girls. You have to see Karen, Pamela, Naomi, Paula and Laura. They will make your trip. Get them all at once to test out your heart. Eddie and the gang will do everything to make your visit one you will not forget. The girls are available 9-9 and only cost $20 per girl per hour if you stay there, plus you should give them a generous tip for good measure. I have stayed here 4 times and will continue to stay at Zona Blue.

As to sportsman's, Bill is very accomadating. They have some girls hanging out and they are fun. He has great food on site and a bar open late. It is close to Zona Blue and I go there often for meals and to watch sports. Sometimes we bring girls back after ZB is closed. You may consider the SL on the weekends if you are a big sports fan.

You can bring girls back to SL anytime and Zona Blue between 9 at night and 9 in the morning. You do not need outside talent at ZB during the day.

Just want to point out that although it is true that you will not need outside talent 9am-9pm, if you so CHOOSE to, you are allowed to do so, so long as they are not FORMER ZB girls...

Unless you intend to do nothing but phuck and you are not too picky, this is a no-brainer with Sportsman's Lodge way ahead.

And THAT is why we say people have different opinions, tastes, and likes...

My last few times I've been to SL, although I haven't stayed, have left me wanting to never go back...

It's packed with sausages, and it feels like the DR...

I don't like the DR.

So, to me, it's a no-brainer the other way...

So far the advice has been helpful. It probably is all about personal taste. It might be something I fight with until the rooms are all booked up at ZB for my stay.

I have been to CR five times this year and probably visited ZB 20 times. On one of the trips I spent three nights in a ZB suite. I have also visited the SL bar three times over this year and last week I spent one night there.

The money difference is all about how much phucking you decide to do. That’s your call to make as only you know.

The primary thing I wish to point out is that if you are new to this game, ZB might be an easier bet for you.

ZB has a consistent pricing structure. You might get requests for tips (or more tip) but you don’t have to negotiate with the girls so that pressure is eliminated. Also the two bartenders are friendly and can help you talk to the girls if you need help with translation and they can also help you select based on your preferences.

In my visits to the SL I have not found the girls to really market themselves – in fact thinking back I don’t think any chica ever initiated conversation, flirted, or even made eye contact with me. This phenomenon is also present at the ZB but it is a much more intimate/small setting where the chicas are all grouped in the bar rather than sprinkled around the place like at SL (Also at SL you stand the risk of hitting on BKTuna’s nicanovia and he’s a big dude.) At ZB the girls will be packed together on chairs and couches along the wall and all you have to do is either beckon them over to you or go to them and point and grunt and you’re off.

One element I liked about staying at ZB is that the chicas get to recognize you and when you come and go you start to get the feel that you are renting a room in the upstairs of a college sorority house and there is a lingerie party going on downstairs. The SL is more like staying at a college fraternity house and a party with a few liberal hotties mixed in.

Anyway my overall point is that – especially for a newbie – ZB is, in my opinion, one of the least intimidating places to get broken into the scene in SJ.

As far as overall accommodations go, its nice having the restaurant on-site at SL although food is easy to have delivered at ZB. In my experience, laundry has been free at ZB and is something like $1.50/garment at SL. You can hook up with wingmen at either location. I found the rooms at both locations to be very nice. The ZB room had a sauna and a nice walk-in shower that might hold five people. If internet access is important to you, my experience is that the strength and reliability of the wireless network at SL is far better than ZB.

if you're coming to cr to Phuck, then zb is just the place to stay. this will be my 5th stay there since august. I have never stayed at SL, but I average at least 1 meal there per day and visit several times a day.

sure, some of the girls will hit you up for tips, although it only happened to me once in over 100 sessions. even if you tip $20 or 100% it is only $40 a girl. what can you get at sl or the del rey for $40? it is still a massage parlor and if you stay there you will have the nicest massage room in costa rica.

the place overall is, in my opinion the nicest place to stay in costa rica. they will do anything to make you happy there. there is no mini bar, they will fill the 2 refigerators in every room with whatever you want and give you the actual receipts for the cost of the items. they do you clothes for free without you even having to ask. you can make appointments for whatever girls you want whenever you want. in my opinion, the service alone, without the girls, is worth the cost of the room!

I have never had an internet problem at either one, and have consistently gotten 300k download speeds at zb. I have both a wifi phone and an iphone and use the wifi on both at both places all the time with no problems.

at Zona Blue, it just feels like i'm coming home every time I walk through the door. I feel the same way about SL, but i go there to Phuck so I stay at ZB!

You didnt give us enough choices, I for one always stay at Circus Cardboard Inn's, it is nice and close to everything being situated in the center of Parque Morozon. The proprietor thinks of everything a monger would need, and all you have to do is ask. And there are plenty of ladies? walking around just outside the door in the evening.

Neither.

Hotel Del Rey for your first trip. Baptism by fire in the Belly of the Beast is the only way to pop your CR cherry properly...

On my three trips I have only stayed at the SL. Good points are made for both, but my point is:

Mr. Newbie, and others:

For G*d's sake, you are paying for their services. That is why they are there. Get over the fear and grab what you want quickly, it may be gone in an instant, never to be seen again. It's about the money, not who or what I think I am.

I see way to many of us sitting and staring at the woman of our dreams, afraid to pull the trigger. Make a pact with yourself before you go to get over the gringo "fear of rejection". It ain't gonna happen. Grab what you want, as soon as you see it, and hold on for what could be the ride of your life.

Happy holidays...

is it a bad omen when you're turned down twice in the same day in a costa rican whore house with a fist full of $50 bills?

I am a huge fan of the SL, no doubt about it. Food and beverage on premises, terrific bar/reception staff, Bill's a great guy, the fitness center is cool, WIFI internet access (when it works) and the small business center.

Frankly, I think ZB is heading for some pretty serious challenges ahead, not the least of which is their labor pool being constantly drained by their hotel guests. I have talked to guys who were terribly disappointed, because half or more of the girls were occupied upstairs most of the day. Several complained that only the dregs were left downstairs. You get guys who greedily occupy 5 girls at a time (and at $100.00 plus tip total, why wouldn't he?), leaving few attractive prospects for walk-ins off the street. There is at this time very little food and beverage, and I don't know about Internet access. They do have a sauna and steam room, two features lacking at the SL.

I don't yet see ZB as a hotel, perhaps because I haven't yet stayed there, but to me, ZB feels like a prostitution business that just happens to have a few hotel rooms, whereas Sportsmen's seems more like a hotel where prostitutes happen to work. It's a huge difference.
