Hey man! You are fishing in the wrong pond. You SHOULD NOT deal with poor girls from the lower class. You will get nothing but grief. They might look cute, but they have a whole different outlook on life.

I feel like I need to start my own counseling service. Looking for chicas in the gulch is doomed to failure.

Chi, Yosh and I are just having a good time. We're simpatico in the belief that marriage doesn't benefit men and that many men make the mistake of choosing to be in relationships with women for its own sake. It really doesn't matter whether they be in the gulch, lower class, upper class, gringa, or whatever. I read your excellent post about finding the right woman. In fact, I read all of your posts on your site and find it very informative. I love that you're a family man and from the looks of things you're doing well. However, I'm not a family man. Nor do I want to be. In my view, there are no "good" women, just women. I believe, generally speaking that women are women the world over. The difference between a puta in the gulch and a upper class woman is -0-. A wife would not likely be around if the money wasn't provided by you and neither would the puta. The puta is the most honest type of woman I've ever dealt with, unlike a wife who loves you until her divorce attorney tells you otherwise.

I once wanted what you have now. A good wife, a nice home in a respectable community, and several K*ds. However, several life circumstances beyond my control changed all that. Rather than focus on what could be, I decided to focus on what is. Many men disagree with my outlook as witnessed by the sheer number of marriages every year. They wish to convince themselves that they made the right decision by shaming me for not making the same choice and abiding by cultural norms. However, I've seen their faces and heard their whispers, "Is Jett really going on another foreign trip ALONE?" "Damn Jett, you mean to tell me that you get to do whatever you want, whenever you want without a nagging bitch of a wife telling you she wants XYZ?" For them, I wish them the very best. For me? I've seen and experienced far too much. There's no benefit to being married today. Mongering and casual "flings" fulfill my needs. That's why I'm here.

I see your points and agree. Hard to believe how the US has changed in this regard. My parents, and maybe yours or your grandparents, don't know how old you are, would have never uttered these thoughts, they got married forever. Probably alot of reasons for that besides "pure bliss" but still.

Now, it's what 50-50 in the US? Says something about us I think or just the females here. Much, much lower in most Euro countries.

But I temper those remarks with 50% staying together here, presumably many really in love and enjoying each other's company and consortium, has to make a guy not in that group to wonder "Why not me? Is it me"?

DGD, I'm 39 years old.

Marriage is a toughie. Sure the divorce rate is around 50% but that's only half of the story. The average marriage in the U.S. lasts a mere 7.8 years. So half of all marriages fail in those 7 years. The re-marriage rate is even higher and climbs to 70-80% by the 3rd go around.

Now lets just say that I'm being cynical. After all, nobody goes into marriage thinking they're going to fail right? If you talk to real couples you'll find that the divorce rate has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not that relationship is a happy one. In essence, many people beyond the 50% are UNHAPPY in the relationship. They only keep stats on divorces not curt stares, evil looks and spouses that sleep on the couch because they can't stand to sleep in the same room. So when you break it down like that, the percentage of happy couples in a marriage is somewhere between 10-15%. The rest are either divorcing, staying together for the K*ds, can't afford to separate(cheaper to keep her), or bidding their time until someone better comes along.

Then if you're a man it gets worse. Alimony, partial or no custody of your own Ch*ldren, division of assets are all real nightmares. Btw, are your Ch*ldren really yours if a judge can order them to not have contact with you? I deal with this type of stuff everyday in my line of work. Dudes, don't care cause they're in "L-O-V-E." Why is it that if a guy wants to invest in oil futures, he studies every angle, reads the prospectus, figures out the 52 week highs and lows but when it comes to picking a woman he gets down on one knee, shows her a shiny carbon rock and off he goes to the land where he has to beg for sex from his now fat wife? No way.

Speaking of sex, you got men on this forum that don't like to pay cien for any chica. Fine, I can understand that. "Cien is for suckers" is the well-worn mantra. I'm always amused by it because I know so many guys that have spent untold amounts of cien on dates here in the U.S. who never even get close to pu*sy. Dinners, drinks, movies, wine-tastings, and on and on. But hey, gringas aren't prostitutes are they? They don't hold out on sex for date after date do they? All the while boring you to death with their endless demands on what men should bring to the table. Nah, I'm cool. If I was forced to pay cien for the rest of my life to putas, then it would be a sound investment in comparison to the cost of marriage or dating here in the states.

Your math adds up right for me. I'm with you on the logic.

But, I still envy the ones who are "lucky", I guess that's the only word, those who are really cool with each other.

Wait a minute, stop the presses here. Are you guys trying to say that the girls in CR are not madly attracted to ALL of us? What a lie I have been living.

Guys, I know that the motto of this board is that it costs money regardless. Thus, why not just pay them upfront or rent them for their time.

I agreed with this concept years ago.

I MARRIED A REAL TICA, WHO IS NOT A PROSTITUTE... from a middle class family of engineers and dentists. Whats different? I don't shell-out money to her and her family all the time. In fact, her family has never asked me for a penny. Does that sound different here? Honey, we need to buy diapers and milk. Thats it!!!

So, when I hear about guys, dumping money on girls and doing really irrational shit, I feel obligated to help them. Some have wrecked their lives.

Whats the upside? You can find a woman in Costa Rica close to your age and have an option different than the states. http://tipscostarica.com/finding-the-right-woman-in-costa-rica/

I am here for young women.

The kind where their tits don't go below the belly button.
I want a woman capable of positions other than missionary.
I want a woman with curves defined by muscles, not extra skin.
etc. etc. etc.

When I come down to SJO it is to buy a fantasy (or a memory).
I'm old. The last thing I want is a woman my age. :o

I believe my answer is typical for many of the older forum members.

Chi, that's fantastic. You've got a good woman and from what we know of you you've got a great life in CR. I'd like you to consider for a moment if you haven't already how fortunate you really are. Here's some thoughts that you and other members may consider:

How many of us have jobs that can transfer to CR? Furthermore, who has a job where the business you work for has international offices? How many of us if we decide to date/marry a foreign bride, would have to live in her country? As you're aware, the laws in the U.S. favor the women in most divorce/custody cases. So even if I married a Tica and brought her to live with me in the States, it would only be a short time before she realizes the ease and availability of laws that support her gender. This means that my greatest chance for marital success means living with her in HER country. Her family and native support system remains intact, making her more secure in her marriage to me. In contrast, I'm less secure given my lack of Latin cultural and social background. Let's not forget who is making the greater sacrifice in that arrangement. Me, a gringo living in CR or her, a Tica living where she's always lived, with family she's always loved, speaking a language she's always known? Exactly.

This forum, ex-pat blogs and other sites catering to Costa Rica are filled with horror stories of men who been unjustly mistreated by the Costa Rican legal system. Tales of woe abound. Gringo's are presumed wealthy even though we know that's not the case! Think you're gonna get a fair shake in the CR family court system? I don't. I can recount one story of a man who married a Tica and the marriage fell apart. It happens. The thing is, as part of the separation he had to pay her alimony, Ch*ld support, and a bevy of other expenses BEFORE the divorce was even decreed. The judge forbade him from leaving Costa Rica for years and the Tica was satisfied in knowing she made out like a bandit. Why do we as men not consider the legal ramifications of our decisions when it comes to "love" and marriage?

Lastly Chi, you make reference to your wife's family of dentist and engineers. Now understand I'm not attacking you or diminishing what you have in ANY way. That's not in my heart, man. I respect and cheer what you've been able to accomplish. I just find it interesting that you unintentionally recommend men making a marital choice based on CLASS. I don't even know if you're aware of it, actually. You see, Latin culture is much more class conscience than gringo culture as you're aware. The fact that you mention this is a strong indicator that you've assimilated into the Costa Rican/Latin way of life. That's a good thing because you live there. However, we in the monger community who decide to cross that line and marry a Tica don't have the same resources that you have in time, effort or resources to enjoin ourselves in the upper classes whereby we can find "good" wives who will treat us well and not decide to burn us financially when the bottom drops out in the marriage.

You were a monger once. I'll ask you, did you gain respect and validation from your wife and her family because you were a monger or was it because you were a gringo who had already established himself with a good job in CR? See what I mean? You got the girl because you met her in a supermarket shopping AND she found you desirable as a mate because you had your shit together. Since I don't live in CR, I don't speak fluent Spanish and I hang out at HLH on a week long vacation twice a year, I'm persona non-grata to the "upper" class system in CR. This proves the rule that most men don't stand a chance at snagging the good girl unless they LIVE in CR and have COIN to make her dreams come true.

I'm in the monger class. No K*ds to care for. No wife to please(as if that's possible). No "oopsies" or "uh-oh's" from the women I get with. No birthdays or anniversaries to remember. No, "where is this relationship going?" type questions. I don't have to plan trips or weekends with her. I don't have to pay a babysitter. No runny noses, no sleepless nights, no nagging, and no period panties left in the sink. No K*ds to pick up from daycare. I get all the freaky sex that a wife would NEVER allow. Anal?- Sure, for a $20 propina. BBBJ? Standard rate. Most importantly, all my money is MINE. EVERY. SINGLE. DIME. I can live like a pauper or live like a king. Marriage to any women whether Tica, Puta, or Gringa is a tough, tough sell for me.

Or maybe I'm wrong...

In a country where prostitution is legal and not frowned upon like it is here in the States, I would say 90-99%of the population has turned trick at least one time in their life. Probably the latter. However, the way I think its more like 100%. You meet a woman one time and pay her $100's for some fun or you meet a woman 5 times @ 30-60 dollars a date and it can get rather expensive. JUST FOR ONE WOMAN. Married pu*sy is the most expensive pu*sy. MOney makes sense. Women have some of the best game I've seen in my life. WHY? Because most men are too stupid to realize that she isn't the little angel they claim to be with their charm. WOMEN ARE THE DAMN DEVIL IN DISGUISE. I've lived on both sides of the fence. You know what scares me about any woman; it's not the woman Im scared of, actually, it's the laws. Men dont stand a chance. Especially with this feminist propaganda bullshit being pushed in America. Not so sure about Costa Rica but in America women bury a man alive. She can petition the courts or the courts can do it on their own to take a man's passport, his driver's license, make the man have to pay Ch*ld support retro-active from the date of separation or the day he left the household, credit will be ruined, he will never get a full paycheck, tax refund, unemployment check, disability check, lawsuit settlement, lottery check for at least 18 years, they will take his pensions, 50/50-shit more like 80/20. he will randomly get his bank account levied, etc. What does it all tie into? MONEY! Kind of puts things into perspective about what the priorities of women are.

Now, marriage is a contract. I dont think women know this because frankly I think they are too stupid to realize it. THATS ALL ACROSS THE WORLD Anyway if you break that contract, for a lifetime, you will have to pay. Simply put, You bought the pu*sy and by divorcing the "goods" you are breaking that contract. It doesn't matter who started the divorce. Also by getting married, you are weighing your life down. That's your choice and you will have to live buy it or die buy it. Marriage allows two parties to gain access to a bunch of laws to come and sting your ass. Guess who usually takes the stinging? Yeap, men!! Because men usually make the most money. However, their are exceptions to every rule and sometimes the man will sting the woman. But generally speaking men are getting screwed on a regular basis. Men should of grown up with a C*ck in their booty!! At least you can be prepared for some of lifes best fuckings...NO HOMO!

@Chit....You are barking up the wrong tree. I think your purpose is to use this board to promote your website. That's fine nothing wrong with that. This is a board dedicated to mongering. I don't think anybody on this board IN THEIR RIGHT MIND is trying to marry a prostitute. You say you are proud of the fact that your wife isn't a prostitute. That's great if she isn't. However, the way I think all women are prostitutes one way or another. Jett touched on it too. Simply put they all want money & prostitutes are the most str8 forward women about it. They are honest about it. No strings attached, get it, and bounce. Also, in a country where prostitution is legal I think everyone of them girls turned trick in their life @ least once. Maybe for a good cause-pay tuition, pay for their childs daycare, doctor bills or whatever-but a trick none the less. You seem like a good person. I think most of us are. Now, with that sad and the propaganda you are pushing with your website goes completely against this boards mentality: "It's cheaper to pay upfront;" where as yours is: "It's cheaper to keep her." I hope you don't find out the reality between those two meanings. I would run far away from this board. Don't take a bite of the fruit. Things will start to make sense. Then, you will realize how dumb and idiotic most men are to the whole dating game. Just speaking from experience. Like I said, I've been on both sides of the fence. Luckily, I dodged a few bullets with the "its cheaper to keep her game." Phuck that nonsense. The laws are not a joke of what they can do to a man.

I would say more about it but I think Jett put it into a visual state of mind. However, I will say that I do want to get married and Im always open to the option. However, there is one thing that trumps that thought and it is the financial risk associated with marriage. What do you get on a return on investment with a woman? Does it increase your financial gain or does it take away from it? I'll let you decide.

On a personal experience, I've been in the lower levels man. I was married, had a "good wife," two K*ds, and a decent place to call home. It was all good. I was discharged from the military. I had some money saved up. I couldn't find a job. Money ran out of supply and she dipped out about a year or so. However, since she left a few years of me struggling went by and now my finanical status has improved. Women are not respectful creatures in any right. Women only get married because they can't figure out the game of life or they are just playing the same games that their mama taught them how to play. Probably the latter. Because I think women are too dumb to think, for the most part anyway. Kind of like the blind leading the blind.

Our society, in America, is sexist. If the father says something, the daughter takes it as void. Simply because he is a man. I would like to say Im not sexist. Just stating the facts and that sexism is a two way street. Lets REALLY put it into perspective. In America women can get in a bar for free. Men can get in for $10's. Sounds "fair." Now lets keep the same sentence and change out the subjects. "In America whites can get in a bar for free. Blacks can get in for $10's." It's not fair by any standard. Racism isn't dead. It's just evolved into a man hating society.

I dont want to take the plunge off that cliff again. Don't walk to close to the edge or you just my fall off.

I think Chi was just giving the other side of the story (although kudos to him for not linking his blog).

The problem with this type of discussion here is that the mentality is so one sided, and men become overly confident in their beliefs because you have 2 or 3 pages of everyone jerking off about how much better it is to pay for sex than it is to be in a relationship...not that people can't hold the same opinion....

Its sort of like a group of alcoholics going out for drinks after an AA meeting and talking about how drinking really isn't that bad.

Honestly, I could give a shit less what everyone else thinks. We all have different experiences in life and mine tell me that women are not to be put on a pedestal and women are not these sweet little perfect angels that so many idiotic men make them out to be. What's so special about women? They eat, sleep, shit, piss, and breathe the same air I do. They can bare a Ch*ld? LOL Well without my C*m in them they couldn't do shit!!!

So many men get wrapped up in a fairy tale love story that doesn't exist to begin with. But you all can have fun doing whatever it is that you do. I like my life the way it is, Im financially stable-for now bcuz u never know what lays around the corner, I dont have to deal with wondering if my girl is out phucking another man, I dont have to deal with the drama of being married or in a steady relationship, I can bang as many women as I want, buy what I want, and not have to listen to some nagging ass bitch talking about you spend some money huh? I can take trips anywhere I want, I can live free as I want, I can do WHATEVER the hell I want to do in the process. It's a much less stressful life.

The only ones that think living life like I do are the weak men who fell prey to that bullshit fairy-tale love story and just want to see me and other men caught up in the same drama they're in. I believed ALL the lies about getting married; you know? Get married, have a family, go to college, get a good job, a nice place to call home, and so on. I even did it. Well, that's kind of a biased side to the story. They only tell you one side of the objective. They dont tell you the "other side" to it. P4p or a steady relationship makes no difference to me. It's all about the same thing. MONEY MONEY MONEY

I do believe that when I am 50 something years old i will get a trophy wife AFTER I done shagged a stadium full of women. Life is what you make it. I dont live by other people's standards like I did before. The whole world can kiss my assets as far as I am concerned. Nobody helped me in my life. I've paid all my dues and I dont owe anybody shit.

You might want to re-think that.
I waited until I was 53 for my first marriage.
Nice girl, gorgeous, friendly, smart, a trophy for sure.
3 years later I was broke and miserable.
