Would be great if it was that easy. They have been having issues for a long time. For fuel, most airlines buy large reserves on their fuel so they are not as impacted by fluctuations in the oil market. So, for the short term they are okay (they still raise their prices as they can and want to hedge a little in case this is a long term issue). That does not help the airline that does not buy well or buy timely…

I did not fly on Spirit much but had one trip to Medellin from Fort Lauderdale and another to CR.

I liked the "big front seat". Not first class but at least away from the smelly cheap ass passengers wearing open toe sandals with smelly toe fungus LOL. :mrgreen:
