For you married guys, does your wife know about your hobby? If yes, how did she find out, and what does she think about it? If no, how do you keep it secret? How do you think she will react if/when she finds out?

One fat, 82 year old good ol'e boy from Georgia staying the Rey told me that his wife knows about the hobby and about the Rey.......but that she wasn't concerned because she knows that he can't get it up.

He went on to tell me that she DIDN'T know that he had a penis pump ..... and that the pump "freaked-out" his latest 22 year-old conquest when he went to use it !!!!!

I have always had a "purpose" for my trips. At first I had to have extensive dental work done that I have slowly had completed (over $15,000 of dental work over 5 years). Along the way, I have developed an interest in helping poor people in Medellin. Every trip, I always carry a large bag full of things to give to these groups and I usually have photos. My wife knows that I love traveling there for the culture and that I study spanish.

Since my wife went through "the change", she has not been there for me. Not interested one bit.

She does not seem to mind that I go on vacations on my own. She drives me to the airport and picks me up. No questions asked. I think she suspects, but she knows she cannot "go there". She has no right to question my activities.

This brings up the obvious question, do you care if she is playing around while you are in Colombia?

From his remarks about his wife's attitude since menopause, the around she's playing is a round of golf.

Grey, I am guessing that you are a "newbie" to this hobby, since you posted in the newbie section.

The blanket answer about the hobby and marriage is that it doesn't mix.

I know you will read many posts about marriages that allow this, they join in, they are open to it, etc.

In the "real" world, just doesn't happen. I guess you and your wife's age may be a factor, but most gringas want no part of their man getting taken care of by someone else. ESPECIALLY, when you can have "all" the sex you "want" from her.

IF, IF, you can get your wife interested in a 3way from someone local, you MAY want to tell her about SJO. If not, NEVER tell her about SJO.

I was 33 the first time I walked into HDR, I was married. Figured I could play this the way I was going to play it. 6 months later....divorced. Place (Costa Rica) gets ahold of you, and normal life just doesn't exist.

I truly think I could do CR married, IF I didn't have a loving marriage, and basically she and I didn't give a shit. But if she is a good person, you are much better off telling her you are gay, and move on banging everyone puta in San Jose:lol: .

Best of luck which ever path you choose. Just make damn sure, the juice is worth the squeeze. Because after 40-50 trips to SJO, you will find, it just ain't the same as it was "last year". I thought Disney World was heaven at 10 yrs old. Hate it now. I thought Vegas was great, now its just mehhh, whatever. That being said, SJO IS a great place! I have NEVER had a bad trip, even those that I said afterwards "I'm done"

Never been married here and there is NO WAY I could ever be with just one woman after over 30 years in this hobby.
