Perhaps I am perpetuating the differences between MMen and mongerers,but I am reading more and more on these threads about MMen who think it's OK to cheat on their Novias or wives. Now I'm not saying I think it's the right or wrong thing to do.Who am I to judge.I spent many years being unfaithful to 2 different wives. I just think it's interesting that many Gringos on this board have decided to fall in love with the working chicas here in Latin America,then go out and bang (or in some cases only BJs) different chicas. I just don't get it. CR is Paradise for a single man. Why commit yourself to a chica if you "need" to have variety. It's a lot more fun to bang everything in sight if you don't have to worry about the guilt involved with cheating on someone. Persoanally I got tired of lying to a wife telling her that I was either working or out with the guys while I was trying to Phuck myself to death. Is it cheating if Gringos "only" see MP chicas? hahahaha I don't think so.On this board we have evidence of guys falling in love (or lust) with MPs as well as other Pros,non-pros,and so-called semi-pros. Just some thoughts before my chica for the day arrives.

Interesting topic: Well I for one have two things to say on the subject.

Back in the old country (Italy) it was an accepted practice to have the wife who handled the household duties, the motherly duties, and overall family duties, yet also understood the mans needs outside the bounds of marriage as it pertained to sex. The term (GUMARA) or pronounced (GUMAD) was basically the girlfriend who performed to the needs of the man and was never looked upon as a threat to the wife, but served one purpose and one purpose only. The wife had the status and the fact that her husband slept with the (Gumara) never mattered. Now I’m not saying this is right or wrong it is just the way it used to be.

Now let us move forward to the Latin culture. I have as previously stated come full circle. I have been M man and went back to being a monger. With that said when I was in a relationship its funny, the (NON PROS NEVER WORKING GIRL relationships I had) the girl was never ever jealous of the thought of me with another women. They weren’t happy with it, but understood it. (See Above). On the flip side of that coin, the working girl, semi, pro, full time pros whatever were maniacs regarding this. They would flip out fly off the handle; go into rages regarding their jealousy. In looking back it wasn’t jealousy, but someone infringing on their meal ticket plain and simple. A little off topic but it brings me to point two.

Back to being in a relationship, well there is something about having an intimate sexual relationship with true feelings with someone you care about and want to spend “QUALITY TIME WITH”. Whether it is at the beach, the mountains it doesn’t matter, the intimacy can be great and knowing its NOT a P4P situation makes it even better. She can be the most wonderful caring individual, beautiful, performer ever but it doesn’t stop our sense of who we are. We are hunters by nature and need our outlets. Is it right or wrong who knows….

I’ll leave you with this. I think Peter Lugers has the best steak in North America. It is the finest meal, consistently I’ve ever had. I could probably eat there 300 nights a year… But no matter how good it is, I still need some lobster, Italian, Chinese etc the other 65 days. Perhaps I’m simplifying or over exaggerating but that’s the way I see it.

Well as the guy that coined Mmen ... it can mean different things to different people. I live in CR, so I could have basically any working gal when I want. But for me I found I wanted something different. Im not saying it is better or worse, just different.

Mmen ... or at least me, want a (yah I sound like a chick) emotional and mental relationship with a women, not just physical. I'll be honest, ofetn the best time I had with a gal at the DR was BEFORE we left. For me, the deed was fun at the time but empty after.

Being from Puerto Rico and knowing how the vast majority of PRs think and behave, I feel I can contribute on this very interesting topic.

Although I've been away for quite a few years, it used to be common practice for a PR man to have a "chiya" on the side just for sex. This applied to men who had a wife or a girlfriend. What was peculiar about the custom/tradition is that the man's wife a/o girlfriend would more than likely know about it and allow it as long as the husband took good care of her, the Ch*ldren (if any), and her.

I believe the custom is still observed just about anywhere where a PR (or Hispanic) population has established itself (i.e., New York, Hartford, etc).
However, once the man starts to spend too much on the Chiya the wife will then find the other woman (not the husband) and fight for her possession (the husband).

As I grew up in PR I saw many fights between wives and Chiyas. The funny part was that the guy would normally stand back and watch them. The wife will fight like an Alpha female wolf.

I would not be surprised if it is the same in CR.

I just do not get it. You have a country full of lovely young ladies who for a small price and a set amount of time will satisfy your sexual desires. Why would you limit yourself to just one. Now I can fully understand seeing one lady a number of times in one trip. This is a pleasure I have grown to enjoy myself. But in between those visits I find gratification in other places. I can enjoy someone without possessing them.

The only thing I can see is that those of you who cheated on your novias and your wives were seeking the pleasure of cheating. Cheating itself being the pleasure. You have a wife in the U.S. who has access to divorce and alimony. So you travel to San Jose to cheat in safety. Are not having a wife you go to Costa Rica in search of a substitute wife (Novias).

I think those of us who practice having a novia/wife plus play on the side are all honorary Latinos . The above explanation by Capo says it all from a cultural perspective at least. The women love to call us "Perros/Dogs"...but they continue loving their "puppies"...and we're glad they do.
