I agree w/ MG....PLEASE post a Trip Report...that could be entertaining reading.

And Rainman is right about BB, whoever goes in, will go in every night of the trip! If you are in doubt about any of the BP guys, send him to the casino and hook him up in a poker game. That said, please include in your TR, what your feelings were the 1st time you walk through BB when it is FULL.

Man you guys are something else. The fact that there are moderately priced hookers in costa rica does not make the country a threat to someone's marriage.

Jenks: Your group will have a blast, and Jaco is a great choice for a nice mix of beach, pool, drinking, fishing, and debauchery. It can be a rough town at night so just stay alert and keep your friends together.

Am I the only one who doesn't think that any amount of paid latina whore would break up a real relationship?

Looks like it. :P

It's not the guys that everybody is talking about. They'll be fine after the trip. It's what will happen when the women eventually find out about what their men did in CR that will lead to problems. And yes, they will find out. They will leave a credit card slip, a BB business card  , a picture, or something to tip off their wives. We are very dumb when it comes to this. Or maybe their wives will just google Jaco and read about the BB.

Good luck with the BP. In February 5 of us headed down for a BP for one of my best pals. San Jose we did, for Super Bowl weekend. Two of the guys did not even partake in p4p. They elected instead to get tatted while there. They did however, have a great time in Costa Rica. We all went to the Sportmens for the SB party. I think, as has been mentioned many times, your biggest concern must be when the boys get back, some of them talking too much. Was not a problem for us when we went.
Come to think of it I have taken 2 guys down to SJO for their BPs. Was in both weddings and neither one of their chicks said two words about it. And 2 other of my pals did their honeymoons in Costa Rica, and I never heard they or their girls talking about prostitution when discussing Costa Rica. Lastly, I have another group of fellas who go to CR exclusively to surf, drink and smoke. So I do not think that CT in and of itself should raise a red flag.

But please psot a trip report.

Orange is right, it is not the guys but what will happen on the return. It may not happen before the wedding or even months after but eventually it will happen, especially if the "guys" want to have a return trip in the future.

Even with the best laid plans and being under the umbrella of just an innocent trip to CR to see the monkeys and sh*t while having one last blowout with the guys, the truth will eventually come out.

Trust me on this - I have lived it firsthand. I have one true friend of over 15 years that is the only one who knows why I take so many trips that just happen to be in monger lands - and even he has slipped in a drunken state and let a former girlfriend (which is why she is a former) know I have frequented a lady of the night. It was not intentional but he lives vicariously through my adventures - his lifestyle is more open with his wife and she knows he has done it in the past and he just assumed I had told my significant other too.

Anyway Jenks if you believe that the whole "group" will keep hush hush about the happenings of the entire trip then IMHO I think you are just in denial. Now for yourself - you stated you are single and it doesn't matter but what about the others in your group? How many of them are also single, how many married, how many with girlfriends? Do they share the same outlook as yourself? Are they going to partake in any activities? As for the groom - have you briefed him on what goes on in CR? Not to say there isn't a host of other activities to do in CR but the monger lifestyle does indeed thrive in CR.

It is probably too late to change any plans now and the wives, girlfriends would without a doubt ask why the plans were being changed but I think you do need to address some issues of what will or will not happen with all members of the group before leaving.

On a personal note - welcome to the board. I don't know if you found it by accident or if you live a monger life in the states. If you are thinking of living this lifestyle then CR is a convienant and good choice from the US with many beautifull latinas at your disposal. But be warned this is a very addictive lifestyle and you won't ever be the same.

Just my 2 cents - take it as you will

CJ

Rainman;
I agree that there are many things to consider when planning a BP in CR (ramifications, consequences) but they are going to Jaco, not staying at the HDR for the duration of their BP.
Last BP I went to in Vegas involved around 15 guys. There was a guy there that didn't drink booze, no prob. Other guys had the sniffles the whole trip. Some guys dialed in ******* (and some of them got robbed), others hit the strip clubs. The trip is what you make of it.
CR can change one's life, for sure, but plenty of people can experience it (especially when removed from the gulch) without partaking in the "action." I would assume Jenks knows his crowd.
Jenks have fun and please post a trip report. I have yet to see one from GatorMitch after he took his brother to SJO.

Jenks,
Listen to what Rainman says. You may think he's full of shit, but his words have much validity. Having the BP in CR might be a train wreck waiting to happen - on sooooooo many levels.

Just understand... EVERYONE who's coming to CR for the BP is going to get laid 7 ways from Sunday. They're going to be phucking and sucking every chance they get. Can they ALL handle this?

Whatever you decide to do, good luck and enjoy yourselves. Hope everything goes well.

MG

All it takes is 1 of the gringas from the bride's friends to find out about what's available in CR and then she makes sure all the married or commited guy's novias find out.

I didn't mean to start a war guys. :D

I think, no I hope we will be ok. Ya'll are starting to scare me.

We have some friends that went down a few months ago and they seemed to do ok. I think they stayed at the DR and were there for a poker tournament. (they really were though)

I would like to know if anyone has any experience with the Cocal's new condos and the hotel itself.

Like I said earlier we booked two of the 3000sq/f and they looked really nice on line and split 8 ways it really was a good deal.

WHAT THE Phuck! This is CRT, a place dedicated and all about having a good time in CR and you guys are talking this guy out of going :?: WTF :!: C'mon ladies, these are big boys. They know what they are going to do down there. Why talk them out of having a blast? It's not like bachelor parties in CR is anything new.

Jenkins,

Go down. I would stay in SJ. If you want to fish, you can always go for a coupe days. Or you could do zip lining or ATVing right out of SJ. ANy hotel can help you make the arrangements. The problem with Jaco is that the mongering is only limited to night. You have done the right the thing by eliminating the trouble makers from your party. STart off the weekend with the ground rules, What hapens here, stays here, blah blah blah. If you do stay in SJ you guys will have a blast at Key Largo and Delrey. Also, tell everyone back home you are going on a guys fishing trip in CR, or some other eco-adventure and bring back pictures participating in said activity. Warn your buddies about not walking at night. I'd also lay off the drugs the street vendors offer. I have heard of guys partying down there and doing blow that was too potent and went home in a box. ETc, etc. etc. Take the trip, give your bro a good send off, and definately report back.

PUTA VIDA!

Maybe I'm just naive, but any woman who would object to a bachelor party in an area with hookers is not one I would want to marry.

Maybe I'm lucky.

In one week we are heading to CR for my brothers bachelor party. I have read this forum again and again and have hopefully picked up some good information to make this a great trip.

I had a couple of things I wanted to run by the group just to make sure everything is covered and to make sure we have the most current information.

Eight of us arrive in SJ on Thursday morning and I have arraigned for transportation to our hotel in Jaco through our hotel.

I know Jaco is not the first choice of a lot of members here but I think it's going to be good for our group. There will hopefully be enough activities to make everyone happy.

I have booked two of the larger condo's at the Cocal Hotel and casino. This looked like a good choice for our large group and the accommodations are fairly new. Has anyone stayed there yet?

The hotel has told me that we should have no trouble booking fishing or rain forest tours when we arrive if the group decides that's what they want to do.

We are looking forward to a really good and relaxed time.

Is anyone else going to be around Sept. 11 - 14?

As always I am open to suggestions about our trip. Anything we shouldn't miss? or anything we should definitely steer clear of?

Again thanks for all the good info and I will hopefully have a trip report to post on my return.

:D :D how was your trip :?: :?:
