Does anyone know where to meet Ticas for romance without having to pay? Are there certain cities or places in cities to go to meet Ticas?

Dennis,

Welcome to the board. No need to post the same request in three different threads. But I offer to help you, if you promise not to start a fourth thread about finding non-pros.

Here's 5 threads covering finding non-pros:

https://costaricaticas.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9493

https://costaricaticas.com/phpBB2/viewto ... ght=pueblo

https://costaricaticas.com/phpBB2/viewto ... ght=pueblo

https://costaricaticas.com/phpBB2/viewto ... ht=nonpros

https://costaricaticas.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9736

I found these using the search function. I think they offer a free search button even if you don't become a VIP.

If you need anything else just let us know.

Thanks for the links.

My question, not answered by any links, is something different. I will be doing some travelling. If I do not want to hang out at bars, can I meet Ticas in parks? If so, what parks and what cities are the best for meeting women, besides San Jose.

I am not much into big cities and I will be exploring other towns in the Highlands. I heard that Heredia would make a nice base to do some exploring.

Any comments on meeting Ticas besides the bars, discos, etc? Please refer to areaas outside of San Jose.

Sure, you can meet ladies in the parks, or anywhere else for that matter in Costa Rica, same as you can in the U.S. How receptive they are to you depends on your own charm and charisma.

I should warn you to be careful in some of the parks in San Jose......those good looking Ticas may not be Ticas at all.

Once out in the country you will need to speak spanish.

If you do I would recomend Cartago. Herdia is now allmost a suburb of SJ.

And just for the record...you always pay one way or another. You can wine and dine them...and you MIGHT get lucky. If you give them gifts...you probably will get lucky. But...if you are out and about in outlying cities...as has been mentioned previously...you will need to speak some Spanish or have an interpreter to get to ¨first base¨.

I dont know your age, but also keep in mind that most young Ticas are not interested in older gringos...unless you are offering work, food and shelter, or just plain greenbacks. Especially in their little hometowns like you are thinking of it seems. THere they wouldnt be seen dead with an older gringo and probably have a boyfriend, brother or dad you will have to watch out for. These girls come to the city for such things...out of the limelight of their families and friends back home.

Good luck, be careful, and have fun.

Dennis,

If you're looking for hit and run, no commitment fun...then stick to p4p.

My knowledge of Latin culture is limited by the fact that I haven't lived in the culture, but I have a good tico friend, 24, great shape, good job, hot Colombiana wife. He says that C.R.'s women can be divided into two groups, good girls and bad girls. The good girls, not pro, semi-pro, once in a lifetime pro... these girls will not go to bed with you until after many dates, meeting the family, attending church and discussing wedding plans. Many girls you meet will not want a sport f*ck. OTOH, just as happens in the U.S., even good girls occasionally want to get laid. How well you do will depend on your game, your grille, your Spanish and on how long you'll be staying in the country.

As a gentleman, I'm asking that you not feed the nonpros too much B.S. and lies.

Happy hunting...but if you fail, there's always the HDR Safety Net. :D

I think the other guys laid it out pretty straight that you are probably barking up the wrong tree, however your post reminded me of another interesting tidbit I heard once. The Central Park in Heredia, which is a nice place to take a break under the spreading mango trees, has the nickname as the Park of the Dead Doves (Palomas Muertas). And, no, it is not due to any birds dying from eating poisoned mangos. It derives from the tico oldtimers that hang out there to check out the young chicas that stroll by (figure it out - the guys have a shriveled old white thing between their legs that can't come back to life). You could hang out with those old coots too, but you probably won't get any luckier than they do.
