I really am bringing a couple of rods and a tackle box. I want to find a guide and do so inshore snook fishing. Other than the Rio Colorado on the coast, does anyone know of any other guides at a reasonable price, and off the beaten track ? I am not interested in the offshore sailfishing thing. I do that all the time in Baja.
But, I hear that the Costa Rican Snook is like fighting a freight train.
Might be a nice diversion between chickas.
Anyone got any info

If you can get hold of Mario, a guide with Adventure Naturales (the white water tour people) he can probably hook you up. He is a native and knows just about everybody.

The girls who work the tour desk at the Del Rey can probably put you in touch with him or try this link.

you cold use Lunatours out of Quepos for an inshore experience. though I doubt you'd land many snook there.

try http://www.marine-electronics.net/tropicalfishing/

I fished Los Chiles but was cought in the middle of a mansoon with river way out of its banks. caught one 8lb snook over two days in January '99.

update us when you return.
