Looking for opinions here. What's the 'coolest' day trip out there ?

I'll be in SJO the 1st week of April, staying at the SL, and I'm looking for ideas. I'd like to take my favorita on a day-trip, but I'm looking for something different to do.

I've already done a lot of the 'tourist' kind of stuff. I've done the beach thing, shopping, fishing, diving, museums, art galleries, horseback riding, surfing, jet-skis, canopy tours, quad rentals, volcano tours, yada yada yada. I thought about white-water rafting, but I did that 20 years ago, and it was a lot of work! We were paddling our asses off, all day long. By the end of the trip, I was phucking exhausted!

I want to try something different. Granted, there's always sexo, but what about the other 23 hours and 57 minutes ? :P

Give me some ideas guys! :?

Mikey-B

Something I have done which is very economcial after doing most of the usual tours is taveling to different town within and hour to two hours of San Jose by bus for the day or afternoon. Just see a couple of sites in the area and enjoy lunch at a local soda or restaurant and just explore. There are several neat places to visit in that time range.

Take her on the La Paz waterfall and butterfly farm tour. Small resort type place. Restaurant there. You can also book a room for the nite at $180 - $200. Have you done that yet?

I was thinking the same as RHM. I went to the butterfly farm and waterfall it is a beautifull place. About an hour and half ride. In a rain forrest. And they send a buss to the bottom to pick you up so you only walk down.

Buy the parkas. You will get wet.
