And thanks for the link Californication. Yesterday Expedia was pulling up $723 to Rio week of April 10 and now the same flights jumped to over $1000. I may have to take a longer flight with more connections to get back to Rio but I can do it for $540 total on your link.

$224 Miami to San Jose :?

Caveat Emptor - this is on US Air via Charlotte, it will add four hours to your trip time as you have to fly north before connecting and then flying south again.

I use travelocity (which is the search engine Yahoo uses) and recieved the same alert so I checked it out.
