I will be in Tamarindo all week and wondered if there are "questionable women" to meet. I will have a car so I dont mind a little drive if need be.
What will I pay way out on the Pacific side?
Have you been to El Jardin? Can you have company in your room there?

GF,
Tamarindo is a 'surfer' town. Not much mongering, unless you are a young, surfer-type stud muffin. If you have a car, the closest place for mongering would be just North of Tamarindo in Flamingo Beach. It's about a 30 minute drive from Tamarindo, into Huacas, through Brasilito, past Playa Portrero, into Flamingo Beach. Do a search on this site, and there's lots of info on the Flamingo scene.

Rates are similar to SJO, but the demand is not as great, so it's much easier to negotiate. As usual, YMMV.

I would definitely recommend getting your CRT membership, as the info that you'll receive is invaluable. Good Luck.
Mikey B.

Tamarindo was a surfer town but has since grown up. Certainly not like Jaco but there are girls around town.

The biggest party in town changes locations every night....

Tuesday ... .Pasatiempo
Wednesday....Mambo Bar
Thursday.....Babylon
Friday....Monkey Bar

Hit these bars on these nights and you should not have trouble finding what you desire.

Just hit Babylon and Mambo Bar in Tamarindo just two weeks ago... it was tons of fun. The booze is dirt cheap and the dancing and music is great. Babylon was very crowded and was scorching hot in the bar area, even with it being and open area. The smell of 'cigaweed' surrounded the place like a low early morning fog, so if you have issues with those kind of things, you might not like the place... very surfer-slash-hippy aura to both places.

Couple of whack-job looking type folks at Mambo... I probably wouldn't want to get too drunk there...

But all in all, those two places were absolutely AWESOME.

Can't tell you if there were p4p chicas at either place, but some of the kittens strutting around Mambo SEEMED like working girls... but sometimes you just can't really tell.

Hope this helps.

Ruffnutz

There are definitely ladies available in Tamarindo, but you will have to work just a little bit.

I was in Tamarindo last February. Thanks to the information gathered on this board (especially from Paco Loco) I checked out the Mambo Bar. There were plenty of ladies available, typically 10 to 20, and very few guys chasing them. Here is the scoop:

There will be a handful of ladies hanging out just in front of the bar, some just sitting along the curb. You could tell from their smiles and holas that they were available. I was concerned both about their ages and why they were not actually in the bar, so I never stopped. Once inside there are groups of young ladies, often 2 to 4 to a group, just hanging out near the entrance. Every one of these ladies that I talked to were available. For whatever reason about half that I talked to were from Columbia. They would give you smiles when you walked by, but you would have to stop to say hi to get things going. Once you did it was just like being at the Blue Marlin (whats your name, where you staying, want company...).

The pricing started at cien, but you could get it to $60 by barely negotiating. I also found that many of the ladies really wanted to stay the night. I am guessing the beach front hotel with ac is alot nicer than where they are staying. I was not looking for an all nighter, but am sure the price would have been reasonable. Just like in San Jose, do not pay first. I had a hot lady from Columbia that promised everything in the bar (kissing, bbbj....), but would not do anything in the room. She was shocked when I sent her packing. Had to see her the next few nights at the bar, but it was her call to renege on the deal and I had no trouble hooking up with other ladies.

There were young surfer dudes hanging out at the bar, but they were more concerned with playing fusball and hitting on the local ladies in the center and back area of the bars. Sometimes felt a little out of my element, but who cares. Pura Vida.

I think with a little work it would have been possible to hook up with ladies during the day, I had some girls working in the small shops giving me that look but I never followed thru.

There was a massage place about a half block from Mambo Bar, you can not miss the signs. There were hot chicas hanging out near the entrance in white lab coats. The massage price was very reasonable, and I thought I could negotiate extras once inside. Well, the girl was hot and the massage was good, but the coat stayed on and it did not seem anything else was on the menu.

Zeeke's advice above on different bars on different nights is probably very good. I remember being surprised when the Mambo Bar was closed one night (it was not a Sunday or Monday night), and I did not know where else to go for carry out.

Please feel free to pm me with any questions.

Deep Diver,
Do a search on the board regarding Tamarindo and Flamingo. There have been quite a few threads in the past regarding these two areas. Once you've done this, if you have any further questions, feel free to PM me. I have been to both places numerous times, and am familiar with the scene. Matter of fact, during Superbowl weekend, I met up with CRT member Ndxtrader1 in Flamingo Beach during his newbie trip.

Where are you staying in Flamingo? I can put you in touch with the right people in that area, hotel info, chica names, pharmacist/chemist, charter boat owners, bar owners, restaurants, monger spots, quad rentals, canopy tours, scuba diving, car rentals, home/condo rentals, etc.....
Tell any one of these people that you're a friend of mine, and they'll take good care of you. (Ph*ck.....I should make a commission)! Just don't be an "ugly american"....

Playa Flamingo is my home away from home !!!! Good luck.

Osgood,
Thanks for the 'heads up' on the Lost Weekend show tomorrow night. I'll be sure to watch it.

Mikey-B
