What's up guys, I have a trip planned with 2 other guys first week in April for 4 nights. We are staying at Taormina hotel because reviews were pretty good and we like the sports bar/casino. I know the HOLY week is the week after starting on 4/14 so I'm assuming we won't be affected the week before with things shut down etc. From what I can tell Taormina is one of the best guest friendly hotels in San Jose and the prices were reasonable. It will be the Final Four that week for NCAA basketball so hoping the bars will have the games on like they would for Superbowl etc.

Been about 3 years since we have been to Costa Rica, anything we should know beforehand that may have changed in recent years.

Taormina is guest friendly and a fine choice! Thrifty rental car down the hill, Zona just up the hill, plus Soda Peru for lunch across from Zona and Paos Gringo bar up around the corner from Soda Peru.....
HDR is still the place. Sportsman’s Lodge always fun to hang out too.
