Is it worth the price including a taxi back and forth? I like Peruvian food a lot and heard a lot of good things about this place but is it worth going out of the gulch for? There are a lot of good places around the gulch already. I may try it next trip if worth it.

Why did I post this here and not restaurants? I don't know. That was a mistake.

I never ate there but if you go, build up an appetite, across the street is the "Oasis" MP, 20k for an hour and with a 10k propina, "Nicole", a curvy, fun hot spinner will make it worth your trip, and if she's not there, they seem to have a high percentage of cuties, not belching rotund fatties...but everyone I've talked to said the food is fabulous, especially the fish meals...

Last time I ate there was about 12 years ago. The food was pricey, but pretty good and abundant. Glad to hear its still a landmark. A much less expensive option is Soda Peru on Calle 3A.

Thanks. Sounds like it's worth a shot and the place across the street for dessert.

I have ate there about a dozen times and most of the time it has been worth the price. Last time the octopus was over cooked and I got grief about not wanting to pay for it. Normally the octopus is very good so not sure what happened. I will go back though.

big octopus fan here. I'll give it a try. Hopefully, not overlooked, and with good seasoning/flavor. Maybe they changed chefs? That can always be an issue.
