Hey Guys,

New to the site. Heading to CR for the first time two weeks from now. Been going to Sosua annually for 7 years now with the same group of 7 or 8 guys. Decided to convince 2 guys to join me for a trip to CR to try something different.

The reason we keep going to Sosua is we love the TLN accessibility. We typically grab a daytime pop or two then grab one for the entire night and possibly the next day if shes exceptional. We always get a villa just off the strip as we enjoy privacy and making our own party away from the "scene". We treat em great, booze, meals, dancing, breakfast etc. Love everyone being able to enjoy a laid back, relaxed atmosphere.

I would ideally like to recreate the same thing in Jaco. The plan is to spend 3 days there. We got a villa a mile from the strip and have a rental car for day time travel. Will get cabbies numbers for nighttime runaround so we don't drink and drive. 2 of us are fluent Spanish speakers, one grew up in colombia and I lived in Thailand for a year so we know the ropes and what to beware of. Were all in our early 30s.

I read Canadamann's forum on TLN in jaco and found some great insight there but that's about all ive been able to find on the topic. I would love some insight on where to find girls who are into that in Jaco, tips on negotiating, prices to pay etc. I think $200 per night is fair considering from what ive read and pics ive seen the quality in CR is better than sosua where I can scoop a girl from classico at 10pm and have her until 10am for $100-120 with 3 pops guaranteed. However, if you think $200 a night is skewed please chime in!

Yeah "I'm here for another week" and "ill keep you tomorrow too" are givens but wondering if girls are really down to leave the strip and come back to your villa or is the whole scene set up for quick pops?

Sosua is a definitely different animal when it comes to TLN. Speaking fluent spanish and and knowing the game will certainly make it easier in San Jose. For me I would usually spend a considerable amount of time with a girl drinking, dancing and talking with an occasional dinner thrown in (1-4 hours). I got to the point of never even discussing TLN or even price for that matter, as I had already changed the dynamics of the transaction by turning into more of a date without even talking about it. During your conversation you should make sure to find out if she has K*ds, who watches them, along with the fees, if any, associated with their being taken care of while she is out, will give you a good idea of where you stand for an all nighter. If a girl is going to spend a couple of hours having a good time drinking and dancing with you, then you know you are with someone that likes your company and will probably end up staying the night anyhow. It does take more work in CR than it does in DR, but if you put in the effort, you will be rewarded with a girl that when she sees you walk in, will head over to you and "pu*sy block" the other girls trying to get in your wallet, just so she can spend time with you.

You mentioned San Jose but I'm assuming the same applies to Jaco?
Is the fact that our villa is a mile away from the strip a deal breaker for ticas?
Typical price to offer for an all nighter? I generally try to let them name their price first, but they often flip that back on you. Don't want to offend but obviously don't want to overspend if I dont need to. I'm no millionaire.

jmho but its probably not realistic to think anything mid to top tier is going to go hang out all night for $200
a lot of clowns paying close to that for an hour in a full churn and burn environment
its why the hotter girls go there especially on the weekend
maybe if its a slow night but seriously i never saw anything indicating anything other than hit and run in jaco

I have no experience in Jaco other than going there for a daytrip and eating in the area. For me it is your typical tourist trap destination, and I try to stay away from those. I would rather meet a girl in San Jose then make plans to go to Quepos or Arenal for a couple of days.

What area is your villa in, what are you close to. I might have some tips on places to eat or venues to check out for some part time-working girls that are close to your area.

The villa is at the north end of Playa Hermosa. Just south of the Jaco main drag. Right on the water.
But we've got a car so we can be anywhere.

200 for TLN is totally possible.. just not probable so manage expectations and have patience....

one of my favorites works jaco alot, her and her friends all tell me that the main goal is to catch a fishing tour or bachelor party where the guys are more willing to spend more... The chicas know that a seasoned mongerer will laugh if they get quoted 500$, while the once in a lifetime tourist is gonna be thinking about where the nearest ATM is... so they will hold out for these guys , so dont get upset if you hear a crazy price...

that being said, they are also willing to comedown on price and not clock watch if they can pick up that the mongerer isnt creepy, is clean, is fun to be around and is fair but not a cheapskate or pushover...

usually TLNs for me just happen vs negotiating.. this is due to hookers in jaco tend to have "lives" outside of work taht takes priority... ie Babi*s, boyfriends, coke habits, meeting their friends at the club etc.... just be conscious about the possible "emergency" that will make them leave early despite agreeing on TLN...

from experience in Jaco having a villa adds 50$ to 100$ the the price they quote because of perceived spending budget and commute time alone... so squash that idea in their heads right waya

A car might be overkill unless youre planning to head outside of jaco, uber or taxis will be sufficient.. JMHO

either way i think you'll have a blast, just let things flow and not try to recreate sosua in jaco....

I stayed at the Hotel Buddha along the strip for a few days. Wasn't really there to monger, just enjoy the scenery before heading to San Jose to get the party started.

A couple of guys there rented a golf cart to get around the strip, wasn't a bad idea thinking back. More convenient than having a car and just as quick for what it's needed for.

I hit a few MP's along the strip just to get a feel for the prices. It's a completely different world from San Jose. There is no FS and you are paying $100 basically for just a topless HJ lol. I tried at least 3 different locations with the same answer. I then went to hang and get a drink at the Cocal(to try and forget what I just heard ) for a few and talked to a few of the girls working there. They were asking $150 just for a pop. Needless to say I was turned off about mongering in Jaco. Others may have had different experiences but this was mine back in April.

San Jose may not look as nice as Jaco but you definitely get your moneys worth in mongering, with a bigger selection of girls.

I've mongered in Punta Cana and must say I like the quality of the girls there over CR. Then again I have a thing for Dominican women. Something about that sunkissed latin Beyoncé type. Don't really find that in CR as much, Limon maybe. Very beautiful girls are in San Jose though. All in all I think San Jose is the best bang for the buck when it comes to price, convenience, selection, and quality.

Hotel Buddha whats it like..got a small pool as well...i usually never stay in jaco...

Jaco is called little USA by all ticos

Loved the Zen Buddha theme. Staff was friendly and the guests were a mix of backpackers and mongerers. Breakfast is free if you stay in any room except the dorms. Room was nice. Only problem was that I originally booked a dorm but they have no AC in the dorms smh. I upgraded to a private room that was $50 per night, still not bad. Hotel front desk girl Daniella was really helpful and friendly, not to mention beautiful

Col Ingus thanks for the insight. We only have a car since were driving to and from SJ. Short trip, and don't want to waste time with buses. Will def go with the flow and see what happens. We're all gentlemen so weve often found that the girls don't want to leave, we treat them so well and try to make it a vacation for them as much as ourselves. Hopefully things fall in place and we get a few keepers. Id much rather find a girl I vibe with and keep her around for the weekend than spend precious time and money shopping for duds!!

Smplyamzng we'll be spending Sunday in SJ so well Definitely get to experience that as well but wanted the beach experience for the first trip since we all reside far from water stateside!

not much action if any at all but its something to do and MA is totally worth the drive, great beach

LAdiablo, didn't know about Quepos but MA was def on the to do list. Thanks for the heads up, will check it out!

Quepos is the larger town you hit before the drive into MA

The beach in Jaco isn't that great. Dirty beach, water pretty polluted (think Pattaya) and a nasty undertow. In Jaco, swim in the hotel / condo pool. Since you have a car, for the beach experience head south. Within an hour or so you will hit the towns of Manual Antonio / Quepos, Uvita, Dominical and many small villages. Great beaches throughout but not very much party action (well a little can be found in Quepos).

If you are just doing a day trip and find someone you click with in Jaco you could probably convince them to come along for a reasonable amount of money, especially if you plan to have her back in Jaco for the evening.
