The place is a gated condo . Its Macaws Ocean Club. I dont know if anybody has stayed there but any information about it would be useful. Getting excited as the date draws closer. We have plenty of space to hide in-case there isnt a safe.

Almost all gated condos down here have security guards who you can instruct to copy their identification, some have copiers in their guard houses or you can tell the girl you have to take a shot of it on your cell phone and send to security. If she does not have an i.d. or refuses, either way she's going to be a problem, lose that one quick.

If one has her i.d. and it can be copied (and by the way, look hard at that i.d., they steal them, use their friends, cousins, sisters...then less likely she's going to want to be a problem but is still not hesitant to steal something and if called out later flatly deny it and act insulted, so still put valuables away.

Also, a simple lock on your suitcase, under the bed or under the sink or in your closet works wonders...

I was fortunate that the AirBnB I stayed at in San Jose did have a safe in the closet.

Is a $100 too much to go Jaco from SJ airport? That’s what we were quoted from JacoVIP.

It's about right. Uber is around $90 (a year ago - I would check it with them).

Our trip is right around the corner; flying out early morning tomorrow. How much $ should we bring for a 4 day trip. Since our stay is all sorted out, I was thinking $800-1000 for food and company. Is that too much or too little? I hope to catch some of you there.

250 a day would seem like enough depending on your appetite and thirst
prices are comparable to the US when it comes to food and beer and the food is...you'll find out
if you are going to Jaco thats 100 + a pop territory so one girl and you are at 150
3 meals or food for a day is 60+ whatever drinks and then you have transportation
if you're having fun that cash seems to float away pretty pretty fast
i always like a little back up just in case
if its me i'm taking 1500-2k and hoping some comes back but thats me

Agreed, always better to bring some back then not have enough when the perfect opportunity arises. The food is not cheap there by any means. Expect 20-30 for a decent dinner at the restaurants. The smaller places you can do better.
