Can someone remind me of the beer prices at HDR? If memory serves me correct I was paying 2 mil the entire last trip and not waiting for change to find out it's 1500 colones. Just wanna get my facts straight!

I'm talking about the local beer.. forget it's name but everyone drinks it.

Bar Poas you can get them for 800-900 colones on certain days. I have seen a few gems in there that were eating but would have been approachable if you are not shy. Send them a drink or just go to the table and say hello if you get invited to sit your in and you are probably looking at 40-60 dollars as compared to cien at the Rey.

After an MP session (the walk) and lunch at Soda Peru, we always stop by Bar Poas for a beer. Not sure about prices, but I do remember it's cheaper than other places and you always find some good salty inebriated ex-pats looking to chat you up!
