Matt,
Here's what I would like,
Grillled steaks over wood or charcoal several different cuts.
Seafood, grilled sea bass, shrimp, whole fish head on (pargo).
Italian food with seafood, stews, clams, shrimp Etc.
I don't know if Sushi would be a go without a full sushi bar
but I would inhale it.
The chefs you have had over the years at La Amistad have a
good handle on the dishes you guys have made.
And yes, some Costa Rican specialities would be nice also.
Mi dos colones.
Regards, 911 Driver

When I am in CR, I usually eat light and I enjoy CR food. I am also on a restricted diet so whatever you come up with will probably be ok with me. Darren' s Idea sounds great.

If you looking for an Asian feel, how about a Mongolian BBQ option a few nights a week.

AN ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET! Most guys don't drive and get pretty drunk at night. In the morning they need an all you can eat breakfast buffet. Eggs, ham, bacon, pancakes, French toast etc.. Then at night they need another buffet to get good and full again so they don't have a hangover in the morning. Every night you can have a different buffet. Pasta/Pizza, Seafood, German, Mexican, BBQ, etc. At a decent price you will have the place packed all the time. (Works here in Pattaya)

The Sleep Inn, next to HDR, has an outstanding breakfast buffet EVERY morning for about $7.

Fish tacos would be great

They run a special on those everyday at HDR.

Just tell one of the many waitresses (you'll recognize them by the 5 inch pumps and risque outfits) walking around that you would like to have a two fish taco meal to-go. Let her know that you would be very generous if she could arrange that for you.

Bone Appetit

Is that open to the public, Rac? What time does it start?

The Sleep Inn breakfast IS open to the public. It is set up in the rear section of the entrance lobby. Just take a seat at one of the dining tables.

They have it set up pretty early - - I don't know how early. They serve until about 10 am. For the exact hours, it's best to call The Sleep Inn. The cost is about $7-$8.
