Hey guys, I'm new to all of this and have been reading up as much as I can for my upcoming trip to SJ in 2 weeks.

This forums has offered a great wealth of information for a noob such as myself.
Big thanks everyone that has offered their advice on the forums and by other means - extremely helpful.

I'm 23 years old and going to be staying at the HDR for a few nights solo (tues-thurs).
As a noob who doesn't speak spanish, I figured the easiest way to get my feet wet would be to just stay at the DR and have accommodations there as well.

I have a few concerns about my plan and I'm wondering if anyone can offer some advice or let me know what to expect:

1) There's a lot of talk about quality being much harder to find in SJ these days - I'm sure there's bound to be opportunity to meet some 8+ in HDR if I'm patient enough, but is there something more reliable in town such as a certain MP or strip club that keeps high quality?

2) Are the girls in HDR still as aggressive as they are rumoured to be? How likely is it that I'll be approached when sitting at the bar?

3) Is there at all an escort scene in SJ? I know it is illegal to pimp in CR, and the prices of using the escort services catered to gringos look to be insane for what is offered ($300-$400/hr for DR girls). I've also heard whispers of hush hush agencies that keep a line up of 10/10s that are models or catwalk girls that offer services for $1000/day. That is something I wouldn't mind trying once - is that something I'd easily be able to find or would I need to know a guy who knows a guy etc?

4) Is it worth a trip down to Cocal earlier on in the week? Or is it more of a weekend trip?

5) Will I run in to any problems being a younger monger? I heard that some chicas don't want to deal with younger men and prefer the company of older punters for whatever reasons they may have.

There's plenty of good looking chicas in SJ. I post pictures of some in the VIP section. Yes there will be good looking chicas in the HDR. You can also go to the Sportsman's Lodge, Zona II, Relax, 360, Monicas. Strip clubs? Alcasar is a good one. PM user Pops and see if he can do a tour for you.

For the high-end part-time semi-pros that work the richy-riches that stay in Los Suenos, you're going to have to be vetted out. Which means that if you go book a 4-day (at sea) billfish charter out of Los Suenos and stay in a condo there (basically dropping $10K) or other things at that level, you'll get asked if you want a date. Is that your budget?

All the 'independiente' chicas working the HDR and the SL and the Key Largo (some nights) and the Taormina casino are ******* (dama de compañia). Backpage is full of ******* (that's taking a chance).

To me, quality of performance is more important (to a point) than visuals. To me, a morning with Luna is better than a cold fish 9 that watches the clock and 'phones it in'.

If you have plata you will have concha. Chicas assume that older gringos have plata. Most of the chicas don't like thugs or dickheads. Don't be a chav or a wanker - be a gentleman.

Thanks for the advice guys, really appreciate it.

I like to think of myself as considerate/approachable (far from a thug/gangster or whatever) so hopefully that will carry some merit when hobbying.

In regards to the Los Suenos runway models, I'm happy to splurge on talent and place of stay but not really willing to pay for a luxury trip or charter whatever, just not too interested in that.

Is there any way to just pay the price for some time with exceptional talent without dishing out for the other things that come with it?

Quality is there, but make sure you are clear about your expectations upfront during the negotiation. Talk about what you want to do, how much time, what you will pay, etc. If you want something specific (i.e. bbbj) make sure you discuss it, or you may not get it. Discussing it in the room with your boxers around your ankles puts you at a disadvantage. Since you speak no Spanish, it will be more difficult for you to do this. You will be limited to the English speaking ones, which there are a lot of btw, and then many more who speak it enough to get by.

2) Are the girls in HDR still as aggressive as they are rumoured to be? How likely is it that I'll be approached when sitting at the bar? Depends on the girl, some are, some aren't. The more aggressive ones tend to be ones that are not that great looking, so they have to be go-getters. If not interested, say NO THANKS or NO GRACIAS right away, and pay thme no more attention. They will eventually get the hint. DO NOT BUY THEM DRINKS (or anything else) IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN THEM AT ALL FROM THE GET-GO. THEY WON'T LEAVE YOU ALONE. AND DON'T SAY "MAYBE LATER" UNLESS YOU MEAN IT, OR THEY WILL COME BACK AND BUG YOU LATER. NO GRACIAS usually works.

Forget that escort stuff, you will be knee-deep in tang once you enter HDR. Being there 3 days, you will not have time to go on a scavenger hunt of the golden pu*sy. If you want some variety, hit up some MP's (Zona II usually has a good lineup, and owner is helpful). There are also a few good Tico MP's. And forget backpage, from what I hear it's 90% fake pics and scammers.

I have not personally seen the Cocal scene in years, but recently is it supposed to be off the hook as far as looks go. As for session quality, it's hit or miss from most accounts. It seems like many of the HDR hard-core clockwatchers just moved to Jaco.

I just had my Noobie/Rookie trip in Feb. I did 7 days. My advice is don't overplan or over think. Just go and see what happens. Think of it as a fact finding mission for your 2nd trip to CR........Talk to some of the Gringos at the HDR bar. Many are willing to give pointers. And yes You'll see plenty of Beautiful women!!! Just Enjoy!

(1) Those Los Suenos part-time amateurs aren't (are not) mystical runway uber-10 models that are pornstar experiences. They are simply part-time chicas that only work when their "auntie" tells them she has been passed the name of a high-roller rich gringo.

A lot of them are school teachers, lawyers, etc. The richy-riches dont want to go swim with the sharks at the Cocal. They want a no-drama "non-pro" amateur delivered.

The chica is then pretty furniture in the rich dude's condo. $1000 for a "day" is either $41 an hour for 24 hours or $82 an hour for 12. I can get plenty of high-quality pu*sy in CR for that.

And the part-time non-professional (non-HDR / non-Cocal) chica is not going to be a super model.

Money spent =/= better pu*sy. Good looks =/= better pu*sy.

Good advice in the above posts.

My recommendation is to moderate your expectations a bit and ease into the scene.

Don't worry about the glory days of HDR being over. I missed that boat and manage to have a fun time and find good company there.

Money trumps age so I wouldn't worry about your youth being an issue. Be clean and respectful.

No real reason IMHO to fly to CR to spend Vegas money on a companion. And with scorts you're typically going in sight unseen. That profile foto could be 5yrs, 15 lbs, and 2 Babi*s ago. And what if her english is on par with your spanish? Our venues give the benefit of eyes on and get to know - take advantage of that.

My 10 might be your 8 and vice versa. So opinions about quality and quantity of talent merit a grain of salt. I see pics of 'dimes'. Some I wouldn't do a double take on. We each have our own tastes.

Just looked at the 3 sites posted. I recognize about 6 of the so-called "models." It's been a few years since I've seen those chicas.

This is some solid advice, I guess I'm overthinking things a little bit

Sounds like I'll find plenty of fun by just exploring HDR and MPs/SCs.

Thanks to all those who reached out with the advice, I'll be sure to leave a detailed trip report using your guys' advice.

sil8822 Your best bet for cutie at Sportsman Lodge is between 4 and 8 pm and after that HDR and COCAL on Thrs, Fri and Sat.

Grasshopper.....Just be careful. You are the type of guy the girls are waiting for. My best advise is:

1. Stay away from the Dominicana bottom feeders
2. The more expensive the shoes and hairdo, the more she will want
3. Stay away from anyone who puts her hand on you
4. Never, but never spend $100.00 on a chick
5. Don't buy anyone a drink until you know you want to negotiate
6. Stay away from overpriced Zona II and New Fantasy
7. Try some of the pensiones 10 minutes from the Rey like Muses, Relax, Theo's
