First, thanks again for all the feedback and information provided by all the senior members. You guys are awesome.

I'll be making my first visit to CR January 17 - 29. This is primarily an adventure vacation / backpacking trip, but I've built in a few days of fun into the schedule. I'd love to meet up with some senior CRT members during my trip for advice, or anyone else for that matter.

My quick info if anyone cares.... 41yo WM, very fit/athletic, fairly outgoing, professional, always like a good beer. I'm somewhat active in the swinger community here at home, and I'm always game for getting wild and kinky with the ladies in terms of small gangbangs and group play, MFM, FMF, MFMF, DPs, etc. Not into any sort MM play, obviously.

Speaking of beer, what, if any, is the microbrew situation in CR, SJ, HDL, and SL? Should I just plan on drinking plenty of Imperial or macrobrews? Just curious....

Here's my schedule.

Sunday, January 17: arrive in San Jose. I'll be staying one evening at the HDR. Sounds like Sundays may be a slow day in SJ?

Monday, January 18: I transfer to a hotel in SJ that is part of my tour package. I'll probably hit an MP that morning before I transfer. I could be up for some more mongering that evening. I'll play that by ear.

Tuesday, January 19 - Tuesday, January 26: bounce around CR. I will be chilling in Puerto Viejo from the 21st - 25th. I know, not much mongering activity there, but I'm still looking forward to chilling on the beach for a few days and maybe get lucky meeting another female traveler during my stay there.

Tuesday, January 26 - Friday, January 29: Return to SJ late Tuesday after some whitewater rafting, staying a the SL for the remainder of my trip. I may take advantage of their CRT member discount for a day trip to Jaco during one of these days. I can't return home without a nice tan. Otherwise, I'll just hang out in around the gulch to find some fun. Maybe nearby hotel allows visitors hang by their pool for a nominal fee? (I saw a thread on this, which I need to revisit).

Friday, January 29: return home.

First stop at the airport will be to get a local SIM for my old iPhone 5S and fireup WhatsAp. If anyone is interested in sync'ing up, hit me up. I'm looking forward to this trip.

I started planning the trip around Costa Rica offerings from Adventure-Life, http://www.adventure-life.com/. I did a fair amount of research on tour groups and operators in Costa Rica, and these folks had very good feedback on Trip Advisor. They also seemed to me to be the most cost effective based on what I wanted to do, and allowed me to customize my itinerary.

Once I locked on them, I knew CR had a good reputation for "other" activity. I eventually stumbled upon this board, and well, I've taken my original vacation plans and made them that much better.

Hbosbru - thanks for that awesome link. Looks like some good brew places down in Puerto Viejo. If I can find my favorite Dogfish Head 60-Minute in CR, I'll be one happy guy.

Enjoy your trip. It strike me that SL had a nice pale ale available on tap, I'm told it was from a local micro.
