The company says it plans its first flights from Costa Rica to other Central American countries for US$50 plus taxes. (Airport tax in Costa Rica is US$29). A big difference than the current price of US$300 plus for a 20 minute flight between San Jose and Managua (Nicaragua), for example.


The company began offering low-cost charter flights between Costa Rica and the Mexican cities of Cancun (Quintana Roo) and Guadalajara (Jalisco).

Declan Ryan of RyanAir...that about says it all. For those not familiar with RyanAir, think Spirit, but even worse! RyanAir was the airline that several years ago floated the idea of charging to use the toilets on their flights, and even removed one of the toilets from their planes
Look for the prices (and FEES ) after the initial period of discounts. Maybe good deals and maybe not so good

Good deals while it lasts. i can wait 30 minutes or more to pee for a $50.00 ticket.

From the traffic at the Medellin airport. it appears Vivacolombia is doing well. Also, Allegiant Air in the US is doing well. I read that Vivacolombia will soon be offering flights between Miami and Medellin and Bogota. Many people don't need luxury on a three-hour flight.
