It's funny how I get 2-3 PMs for every reply to the post.

A number of people are telling me 2 things.

#1 - Seminole Hard Rock Casino has an annual July 4th event that may conflict with our tentatively scheduled July 4th idea. We have other venue options if July 4th works for the majority.

#2 - CRT members have family obligations only July 4th

The only reason I initially choose July 4th was due to the assumption that members in the state of Florida may have an extra day off work & find the weekend convenient. Since I hope members will drive down from Tampa, Orlando, etc, I think having the event on a weekend is a given. If July 4th is the ideal weekend is still debatable.

So please (publicly) state your thoughts on the situation. We can always switch venues but I particularly want to pay attention to those guys who have to drive 3-6 hours to attend. We want you to come. Guys who will probably have to spend money for a hotel to attend and may need more than a 3 hour meetup to make there trip worth the effort. Will this work for you (locals) or you (those traveling in)? Should we stick to July 4th? Do you prefer July 5th (Sunday)? Or is another weekend more suitable for those with families?

At this point everything is flexible but we need to start locking down a date. So please provide whatever input relates to your personal situation. Once we officially settle on a date, I'll shake the bushes & try to get the most guys possible to attend. But if this is a bad day or weekend for you, please speak up now.

Can't wait to catch up with all of you whenever this happens. The date and venue should be settled soon so if July 4th doesn't work into your personal plans, suggest alternatives now. If nothing else, wherever you are coming from, whatever days you have to work, or whatever your family situation...please say what day of the week works best for you. Saturday? Sunday? And is July 4th or 5th doable or should we move it the meetup back a week or two?

And unlike the 2010 meeting, I'd like to request no one take photos without the express consent of all people in a said photo. We have to respect the fact that some people given their career, family, or religious affiliations do not want to be photographed.

So what days, dates, or places work for you? Post in the thread not in PM unless you have something to share you don't care to make public. Of course, any PM will be held in confidence but when possible, let's keep this discussion public.

Moving the meeting a week later (11th or 12th) would work much better for me as I'm on call the 4th, and didn't want to impose on one of the other guys to cover for me. I really wanted to make the meeting , they seem to only happen every few years. Any venue is fine.

New to SoFla from another part of the country. Can be there. All sounds good so far. just need final deets.

I'm having family visit over the holiday weekend.

Moving it the 11th would be good for me and if not Pura Vida.

I am down for whatever is finally decided. I will be flying in from Washington DC. If you guys plan on moving it to the following weekend please give me a heads up so I can change my flight and plans otherwise look forward to meeting whoever shows.

I am out of town the weekend of the 4th and the next weekend. I am only available the weekend of the 18th, and Saturday the 25th.

A week or three later would be better and I suggest moving the meeting to a place with naked women, don't hold your breath for a bunch of Hooters girls to show us their tits in the daytime with families with K*ds sitting at the next table, I have never been but, Tooties Caberet in Miami always gets top pick for being fun and reasonably priced. Just my three cents (inflation)

I vote for Saturday July 25 or Sunday July 26 at 1:00 PM at Tooties ( Sunday is no cover and $4 drinks but Sat gives the people who need it an overnight / depends on who's coming) (I like Sunday cause it's cheap and it is all to easy to spend a bunch of money in a strip club)
If somebody seconds this motion lets lock it down and get ready to party and I also vote for Max Bass to get a list going so as we can inform the management that about 30 or so like minded gentlemen will be there early on Saturday or Sunday and bring out some of the best girls for us (you know the one's that work the nite shift)

Actually Tootsies aint a bad idea... Big enough to accomodate us ...stock is mostly cubanas wirh tight bods.. Large Bar with pool tables in the back. Champagne room pricey though at 425 but hey it's your money

I agree. The Weekend of the 25th/26th sounds good. Tootsie's has ample parking and enough room to accommodate a large group. Also, if you want to have unfiltered discussions/laughs this would probably be a better venue. The food is decent as well. They have a limited but pricey cigar selection there if you smoke. I always have a cigar with my Bacardi 151 and Coke . I would attend this event on the 25th or 26th (never been on a Sunday). Max, thanks for working on this. Rico143

My post from my phone a few days ago does not appear in Roll Calls. What happened, I'm not sure.

Hooters informed me the Seminole Hard Rock Casino is having special events for the holiday so we will not be able to acquire our own space for the event. So it is going to be temporarily delayed a few weeks. I looked into alternative venues like Funky Buddha Brewery, Tilted Kilt Sports Bar, among others.

Since we're mongers, a strip club makes sense, Tootsies works for me, July 25 is a Sat, July 26 is a Sunday, I favor July 25, Sat, many of us who work aren't big on going out Sun night and facing a Monday morning, I rarely go out Sun night, usually preparing for the week and settling down...
