Havent been in a year and I cant remember what the sales taxes are? I am staying at SL for two nights in May and 4 nights in Cocal. I read on the web its 13% sales tax and 3% extra for hotels for 16 % of your total hotel bill, is this correct?

Just trying to get my budget in order.

That is correct…13% sales tax + 3% tourism tax for a total 16% tax. Most of the time hotels will quote a room price in $ including all taxes, Check this with your specific hotel. When I stayed at Cocal in February, they quoted and charged $150 for my room total, including all taxes.
