This past week, my 14 YO daughter has been visiting. Consequently, I haven't seen the inside of a casino or had any sex at all. Man, its fun but tough.
Sometimes, I think my daughter is trying to kill me for the estate but thats just kidding. So far, we've been to the volcano where the weather cooperated for the first time and we were able to see the lava coming off the side at night. Spent the day at the Trabacon resort where even I went down the slide. Next, it was the calypso tour out of Puntaranus where we went out on that private island via a catamaran. Went snorkling and I almost drowned. Tomorrow its white water rafting.

Will hate to see her leave on Monday but the casinos and the chicas are losing money and I do have my responsibilities.

LVSteve

I've taken that Tortuga Island tour twice, and really enjoyed it both times. Is Arturo (Tico in his early thirties) still working on the boat? He's a great guy. Is the old man still playing the xylophone on the island? It seems to me that I heard that he died. If he's still alive, he's got to be around 90! I liked that small bar built into the base of a tree on the island. They even served Ron Centenario! Who did you have as a tour guide? Both times I went, we had the daughter of the owner of the tour comapny (Calypso). She's blonde, early thirties, speaks perfect English, very intelligent with a great personality. Easily one of the most beautiful Ticas I've ever seen. I can't think of her name. On one of the trips, she let us buy a case of beer in Puntarenas and bring it on the bus for the return trip to San Jose! She even let us use their large cooler!

Anyway, LVSteve, it's time to get back to your Cherry Masters :D :!:

YO my good friend:
Yea, we discussed your daughter's visit on my trip 2 weeks ago. Glad to hear it is going smoothly. She is lucky to have a dad that loves her as you do. Enough of this parent stuff. You must be getting some real good luck seeing the lava down the volcano arenal with the darn weather going on now. Best buy some lotto tickets soon.

LV, let me know when the volcano is real active, I want to take Circus the younger and his mom up top for a real close view. Gee, perhaps a sacrifice to the CR Gods could get me laid finally. Desperate is as desperate does.

Gringotim;
Afirmative on Autoro and the old man. Negative on the chica but there was a fairly good looking one chasing the captian. Seriously, Autoro was great - also the bald guy, Ronald was there too. Good people.

Circus - Got real lucky with the weather at Aranal - This was like my 5th trip and the weather for viewing was perfect - stayed at the Aranal Lodge which offers the best view right out your balcony.

Just wanted to wrap this up by telling you that yesterday, Fathers Day, with my daughter was a delight.
We went white water rafting on the Rio S--------. Not sure of the name but we took the road to Limon to get there.
Anyway, we had a blast. Don't know why I never did this before but it was outstanding. The guide, the equipement, the river. All great - the outfit was called Adventure Naturales and I would recomend them highly!
I know someone will ask, so I must confess that this 61 y.o. and his 14 y.o. daughter did only the level 3 but after that, I may want to graduate to a higher level.
Anyway, I have mixed emotions. She leaves today and I'm sad but we did have one hell of a week. A lot of you will see me in the casinos starting tomorrow. All in all, it was a good thing for me to get out and see the rest of the country.
Back to the sinners life tomorrow (until my other daughter comes early next year) but with some sadness.
LVSteve

Very nice story,Steve.I have always felt that Costa Rica has something for everyone. When I bring my wife with me,we travel aroung and have a blast seeing the country.
The Arenal Lodge is my favorite place to stay in that area.I even took ol Circus up there and he thought it was more fun than a box of vodka mini's.
I hope you and your daughter have many more great adventures together in CR.

YO LV:
Hope you got a good deal on the Arenal Lodge. As CRdreamin concurs, it's a neat place with a view to kill for. At daybreak with the birds chirping and monkeys swinging....you look out at the surroundings and expect to see a T-rex and Dinosaur roaming by. AND, how did you like driving up and down that 30 degree spiral road to the lodge......Yee Haw.....give ol Circus a skateboard. Did you horseback ride there? Also, did you two get to Tabacon springs?

Glad dad and daughter got to experience it.

Thanks, LV -- I'll be doing that same dad/daughter touristing someday, and your recos will be welcome. For now, my distination is still secreto, but I'm also aiming for that volcano soon and the best views available, plus all the other scouting of the countryside.
