A bit off the beaten track, south end of beach...Price is great $55/night and 100% Chica friendly and can stay at hotel for free....
Beach in front beautiful..highly recommend

Cocal scene be patient and stick to price, a veteran of the scene told me last night say you only have 30,000 Colones..sooner or later you will find a taker..

I'd hardly call it the "Jaco Del Rey" when 23 of 35 reviews on TA are couples/family. Maybe a little mgmt. pimpin' going on? It was formerly the Hotel Arenal Pacifico, freshly tarted up: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review ... renas.html

$55 is a heck of a price for beachfront in Jaco. Guess I need to swing by there soon and check it out. When I went by Cancions del Mar the other night, management told me Big John was down at the South Beach getting it ready...so now he owns two options in Jaco, one an all-suite hotel and the other a budget place.

I was not smackin' the OP--I questioned here, as I questioned in the Hotel Maragato Post, whether this was an applicable venue for the average Monger. They are both marketed as civilian hotels who accept us and amigas--that is not the same as welcoming. Bottom line: if you with Chica are not prepared with that confident smile when crossing paths w/ civilian couples, maybe another venue is for you. Pussyfooting maybe but most of us want to be primarily with our own, mostly.

High Season rates ????? Common for hotels to be more expensive - especially in Jaco - Jan - mid/late April

I sent another e-mail and was very specific that I was a CRT member. They did honor the $55 rate and were very cooperative in making the reservation.
