I just got back from SJ. It was my 6th trip in the last year. Went to L'Amistad, for the first time, for lunch. The food is fantastic there. Repeated a few times during the week I was SJ. Might have to book a room there for my next trip.

Hotel La Amistad

This is a great deal guys, walking distance to SL, quiet, great good and service! I just stayed for the first time a few weeks back, would certainly stay with them again next time.

Looking forward to it myself, I am booked fri and sat and another friend is flying in around then too.

Now I'm thinking about going with La Amitad instead of SL haha. What's the on site Tica seen like at this hotel? Like around the bar and so on and if this deal is worth canceling SL.

Chica friendly but no chicas hanging at the hotel...bring your own chica back.

Ahh, that sucks...contemplating if thats a deal breaker. I mean all the money saved on food/drinks can be applied "elsewhere" but it would be nice to not have to venture out everytime

L'Amistad is a nice hotel with great food. Just because there's no chicas on the premise shouldn't deter you from staying there. SL, ML, NF, HLH, and the DR is a short walk. The DR is a short taxi(1000 colones) if you want to go there in the evenings. LA is close to the action but far enough when you want some down time to regenerate your bodily fluid. It's an oasis away from the action.
