yes, MG, that's what I was talking about. The categories are important, and a fantastic feature. Being able to locate all the various groups of chicas in one area was a tremendous benefit. Not having to go thread by thread to find out who all the bad performers are is MUCH easier than wading through trip reports where the good, the bad and the ugly are mixed. The same goes for all the oother categories.

what happens to all the historical photos? I would be appalled to find out that they've just disappeared forever.

Totally agree. It used to be nice, trying to locate chica's by category, with general chica pics, or MP chicas, or chicas from SEA, or DR, or MDE, etc. Now it's just a mish-mosh of generic photos. And many of the older pics were some of the best pics on the site! It just sucks now...

I agree with everyone, I always enjoyed posting pics of my faves and giving fellow members recommendations and had fun razzing guys who put up pics of hags and hogs, many times I searched for and found putas that impressed me other guys posted, Hey Administration ! Are you listening to this ??? As an old finance and marketing guy, it will only help you get more members and keep existing members staying here !!!

Mucho Gusto, you said it best. I totally agree - but we are mongers. It sounds like the new Admin 1 appreciates tech stuff more than Latina Nookie.

A note to Admin 1: Alex, if you lose the old guys from CRT, it will be very hard to ever get them back. As much as we bitch and moan about things in Costa Rica and raz on each other, we have an affinity for the place and the friends we have made through CRT. Your CRT website changes seem to be hampering that in a major way. I suggest you have an indepth conversation with Tomas so that you can get a grasp on what you are missing. Tomas understood. Sorry my friend, but you are missing the point.

I sincerely apologize to those of you who had an affinity for the old system. To expand upon my previous reply - we had to make a decision about the gallery as it was. The decision was between change and security. CRT is a very popular site and that makes us a target to hackers. That gallery was technically corrupted and was a source of weakness to hackers and hack bots - we were lucky that the few hacks that were attempted through that old gallery failed in the end and no one's personal information was compromised.

This was our choice: Get rid of the gallery as it was and attempt to rebuild it OR keep the gallery and risk the personal information of all our CRT members. I decided that security was more important. See, I actually CARE about each and every member and it is important to me that CRT remain a SAFE place for gentlemen to discretely share information with each other.

I want your credit card information safe. I want your private information to REMAIN private. Away from wives, girlfriends, co-workers and potential blackmailers. This was my priority when faced with this decision. The upgrade to the site wasn't JUST about making it look better. I still feel proud - knowing our decisions have made our site 2000 times more safe and secure.

We are still in the process of moving over many of the old photos that existed under the old system. I truly apologize that you aren't able to search them at this point. That doesn't mean that you will NEVER again be able to to do so. If, in the future, there is some way we can come up with the substantial amount of capital and the right genius programmer that it would take to return the "girl search" feature for the old stuff - I promise we'll do it.

I just hope everyone can understand that I'm not a monster and that I want CRT to be AS GOOD A SITE as possible. i want it to be perfect, in fact. However, there were technical decisions made 10 years ago that I now have to pick up and do the best I can with. I love your feedback and I sincerely care. I want to do my best to please everyone, however, with over 3000 members and counting I really don't think that is possible.

To conclude - I think we now have a beautiful, functional and SECURE web site at CRT and there are no plans to stop improving it. We hope that the changes we made to the forum with the ability to upload photos will help everyone moving forward.

Alex, I understand what you're saying, and I appreciate the concern over security. I think we all do. With that being said I'm not sure that you're hearing your membership. I'm also not sure if you're properly exploiting your membership. You probably have programmers associated with the site already (and amongst your membership), and if someone asked me if I would donate a few bucks to resurrect a secure vesion of the old program I would be happy to do so. Perhaps a call out to the members? I find it hard to believe that the programming requirements would be so onerous when updating an existing program, since the brain damage was already done creating it in the first place, although clearly there would be work to be done around some f the protocols. Of course, I'm not a computer programmer, so what do I know?

What I do know is that the membership, insofar as it has spoken here, is finding the loss of the gallery and the new "solution" to be a very hard pill to swallow, and perhaps an unacceptable one. I would rather we looked for solutions instead of saying it can't be done.

Alex, giving technical explanations to old mongers like us only indicates that you have a greater appreciation for tech stuff than Latina Nookie. You are just not getting it my friend, and we ALL want you to really get it. CRT is important to us and we want it to continue to be a successful influence and information source. Please schedule a sit down with Tomas ASAP and plan to listen very closely.

As to risk, your members take significant personal risk in our hobby that by far exceeds what you may be trying to save them from being exposed. We have learned to balance risk in our lives and to take those worth the payoff. The greatest risk might be credit card numbers - easy to solve if you run all payments thru a 3rd party such as PayPal, but there are many others just as good.

Still confused! Are the past history of pictures gone and unretrievable in any fashion? I, personally, would be willing to purchase a disc of pictures that I posted with the fivesome at Zonal Blue and others. I would certainly be willing to put up some money to be able to review the past history of pictures. So many valuable pictures are out there. Cannot understand how posting the old pictures in a new format is complicated? Or that it would lead to less security.

Is the site being sanitized so as to, perhaps, protect the site of being accused as being a mongering site? Is there more to come? Are old trip reports in jeopardy? Would understand the foregoing as the question of the purpose of these type sites have been questioned in the past as being purveyors or a type of pimping which I believe is illegal. Would prefer to be told this upfront if true..
