It's been three years for me, so I've forgotten one minor thing about the BlackJack in CR. Do they deal one up and one down, both down or both up?
Thanks in advance!

All the casinos here in CR deal their Blackjack and Rummy games with both your cards face up.

both are up, but the only casino that i was able to find real blackjack is the Horseshoe, the others have Rummy.

Rummy is similar but no 3:2 payout for blackjack. The advantage is even bigger for the casino in Rummy.

Paradiso plays 100% Vegas rules.. Horseshoe still hits the dealers second card after everyone else has played their cards. Minor point but only TRUE game in town is at the Paradiso.

The other trick to watch out for here is if they only deal the house 1 card until after you act...if you double down or take further betting action and then the dealer gets Blackjack, you should NOT lose your double down or split bets. I have seen some of the casinos here that spread blackjack take ALL the bets on a late card BJack. This is not correct...but many of these people dont know better...or purposely try and pull this. I have a 3 minute argument once on this when playing until they finally relented, knowing I was right.

Remember, this is NOT Vegas...for now theres no commission to appeal to.

I believe the house rule of taking all bets on a late blackjack is prevalent in Europe, the bastards.
