Check with Hotel Castillo. It was the only place I stayed during my last 10 trips to Costa Rica.

Few members know about Hotel Inca Real, but it is a CRT VIP sponsor, near the Clarion/Dunn Inn, and not a bad little place. https://costaricaticas.com/news.php?id=273
Chica fees waived and 20% room discount.

The link leads to a posting made in 2006.

Latest VIP discount for hotels does not mention the Inca Real.

Perhaps Admin1 can clarify.

When I was in San Jose during the Halloween festivities, I talked to a guy who was staying at the Hotel Vesuvio. He liked it, said it had everything he needed hotel-wise. I have never been there, so I don't have first-hand knowledge, but it is a CRT sponsor and is convenient to all the hot spots.

It's been reviewed before, generally unfavourably.
