Hey People,
Stayin at the DR on the 21-24th. Was wondering if the sportsman lounge has more tv's/games...ect.. then the DR?? Does the DR even have the NFL package? Gotta see some games and get my fix! I am assuming the sportsman lounge has the NFL package as well... Basically, where is the best place to catch a few games in the gulch? Thanks!

Go to the SL, do pass the DR, much more laid back for NFL.

SL is a great place to set up camp and watch football. Always plenty of goodfellas in the house to shoot the shit with, and of course the scenery wont be too bad either

In honor of Jimmy V week, "Don't give up, don't ever give up!"

SL is hands down the best place to watch any sporting event. Widescreens everywhere, best selection of games I have found, good food and drink, attentive bartenders, sit on some comfy couches if you want and usually some great scenery.

And if the game you want to see isn't one of the TVs they will look to find in on one of their satellite feeds.

I will be there every Saturday and Sunday between October 13 and 29 for the college football and NFL.

SL or Chubbs, def not HDR for a particular game unless they have gotten their act together in the last few months. Usually only guy there knows how to run the program and I noticed a lot of pop up screens when we were scanning for an NBA game that said words to the effect "Paid subscription needed" so you know what that means. They will have a few NFL games on but getting the guy to put your game on where you are sitting is a pain in the ass, and that's if he get can get it.

Chubbs gets all the games, has a USA neighborhood bar feel but is crowded for the games. Gringo owner has which game will be on a particular tv so you can arrange where you want to sit. Good gringo cheeseburger. But, the place is alot smaller than SL and no or few chicas on NFL Sunday's, and also generally speaking.

Advantage SL. If you are staying at or near HDR and are time constrained, Chubbs is good, get their earlier than your kick-off if you don't want to stand.

Watched the Bear / Packer, make that Packer game at SL, Thursday. Best place to be. Sometimes it's hard to be a Chicagoan.

SL sucks for football! Just too many TV's with different games around the joint. Watched some college ball today and it is nice to be able to move around. I get tired of sitting on a stool, I head over to a couch for a while. Until a place comes along that is full of recliners chairs I guess I will stick to the SL.

Now there's an idea Bill a room full of recliners, T.V's and hookers for your Bigg Doggs.
