So I just got off the phone with HLH. They only had 2 rooms available, a suite which the lady told me normally runs about $200 a night and a small room for $50. She said they would be willing to let me have the suite for $130, but that is still more than I want to pay so I opted for the smaller room. She explained it had all the standard features that other rooms have (air conditioning, TV, bathroom, etc.). I'm a little concerned now that I see that this room is not even listed on the website. It's room #231... anyone have any insight of where this room might be and what condition it's in? I forgot to ask what size bed it has. $50 a night makes me think perhaps there is something they're not telling me other than the size of the room.

Calling is a good idea, like CH recommends.

HLH has a U.S. phone number that is promptly answered during the day, usually by Iveth with good English. I've never used it at night, so I don't know about that.

I believe that the small room that you ask about is the room that Crazyhorse always uses. He'll probably tell you about it soon----or send a PM to him.

I've been in that room, although I've never stayed in it. It has no window, which is the case for several rooms at HLH, SL and other venues. I believe that the bed is a "double" bed, not a queen or king. It is NOT a tiny jail-cell type of room. The TV, bath/shower, bed, closet, etc are of the same quality as all of the other rooms at HLH.

I would have no hesitation about booking the room.

I just got off the phone with Jeff at HLH, very nice guy.

I'll be in the small room for the first 2 nights and the El Rey Del Mundo for the remaining 3 nights. They were very flexible with the pricing. The countdown begins!
