Can anyone recommend/review the rooms at casino cocal in Jaco? I spent a few nights there last February and really liked the action, and am thinking about staying there next visit, but the rooms around the pool look to be a bit noisy, kinda like the courtyard rooms in SL. Any suggestions/feedback? Thanks

The poolside rooms are a few dollars more than the ones facing the parking lot. Ocean side rooms more than the poolside rooms. Not sure about the ocean side rooms, but the poolside and those adjacent to the parking lot are recently renovated and are pretty nice in my opinion.

Opposite the casino, first level by the pool are primo for me. If you're there during the week (I checked in last time on a Sunday about 2 months ago) there were lots of room choices. Lots of chica choices too.

A week ago the place was packed every night with talent. Don't know what they were asking, as I was with my favorita, but there was something for everybody. BB was closing down at 1am on a Friday nite--no business. Guess $14 gringo fee and $7 chica fee wasn't gettin it

I'm pretty sure they were. It has been two summers ago but some friends stayed in a beachfront room and it was very nice, had a new look.

Hi guys,
Heading in to Jaco in a couple of weeks. How's the weather this time of the year? I hear it's Green/Raining season. Does it rain all day?
As for the chica action, when does it start and when is peak time.
Thanks for the info.

Stayed a night oceanside at the Cocal during Memorial Day week. Rooms were $110 a night, $95 poolside and $85 in the building in the back. Rooms were very nice and all the action is around the pool at night. Only complaint was my room was next to the bar and it was noisy until well after the DJ stopped playing. Bartenders cleaning up till late. Also noise early in morning from the same bar. Try to get the farthest room from the bar if you are staying oceanside or next to the pool.

Try to get one of the 4 newer rooms over the pool, can't see the ocean but the view of the pool is great and the rooms are nice.
