There's only two places I'd stay in SJO, HLH or SL. I've never stayed at HLH, but with Boyd and the ever increasing party atmosphere (not to mention the kitchen being open), it's definitely in play. My current favorite room is Puma at SL. It's the last room in the back on the left. I love the SL for it's bar, food and accommodation discounts. Honestly, I'm not a fan of the girls in the bar. On occasion there's some real lookers, but normally I don't pull from SL. I'm considering HLH for my next trip, but outside of happy hour...is it really all that happening? Anyone have an opinion on the food? The rooms seem nice in that they are relatively insulated from the street noise and light. Are the beds there any better than SL?

I know "Where to stay" has been beaten to death, but how about your favorite room? If the Puma's available, it's hard to beat IMHO. Yours?

Hotel M website says it's closed for buisness.

MH: your response is what I'm getting at. I think newbies often look at the hotels as having more or less similar rooms throughout the hotel. SL is a perfect example of how one hotel can have so many different types of rooms.

Yeah, I thought about that when I first posted. I'd hate for my favorite to become hard to get. I'll have to try the toro negro sometime.

This is exactly the way I feel about the chicas down there. I don't know how they occupy themselves when I'm not in town.

the cohiba suite at HLH hands down. I think its 216. Has a open air deck, big enough to have people over, nice, clean, sauna, and steam bath. Also, the suites are in a seperate wing of the structure. There only 4 rooms in that wing and the cohiba is essentially its own floor.

They've got to get bored sitting around waiting on us. Especially me since I'm a once a year guy.

Boyd, it looks like I'm coming for the Cohiba room. Love SL, but I need to see this for myself. Considering the in room discount for CRTs; I'll probably make up for the SL discount on food. How's the food at HLH anyway?

Ah, yes, the Cohiba suite, I stayed there one time. If you had brought Pammie up there, it was pretty much guaranteed that she would end up naked on that balcony. :D

I have to add room 801 at the Presidente. Not sure what it's like now, and the Prez rather anti "guest" now, but a few years ago stayed in 801 during a trip. It was one of the Grand Spa Suites, except this one had the jacuzzi outside on a large balcony, which also had a table and chairs. Relly great place for that special chica. :D

My favorite is close to Californicationdude's at the Nuevo Johnson, but it is an interior room that doesn't look out on the street. Stays darker. :D
