Arriving on Friday, booked a junior suite for 2 and asked if it was ok to bring girls and they said yes, but heard mixed reviews. Can someone who stayed there recently confirm if they are girl friendly? Thanks!

0% chance they let them in.

Hope they replied that "guests" were welcome in writing. If so have some copies of that with you. Doubt it will get you very far but better then nothing when they turn your "guests" away. :(

The answer is no bueno on the chicas. I called reservations today to ask and they said no guests allowed in room for security reasons. Dunn Inn it is.

Oh, so that's what its called :?:    :P  :?:

Glad you doubble checked and posted back - I went there in Jan to satisfy the doubting Thomas' in my group - and were recognised, greeted warmly, and they very sheepishly told my friends (I knew the deal....) sorry, no ladies allowed.

Even based on your first post, I highly doubted things changed in 3 months - one of the problems in the past has been (as you experienced) getting an honest response to the question - lately, they have been telling the truth; as a rule, Costa Ricans dislike confrontation and telling a negative in absolutes - but they would have done you no favor by having you labor under a misconception.

Thanks for posting back and doing yourself the bigest favor by changing hotels! :)

If you do business here, that is a rule you need to write down!! Found that out the hard way.

You'll like the Dunn Inn. I stayed at the Presidente a number of times awhile back. Nice but now I can say Dunn Inn is much more comfortable.

Don't stay there unless something has changed from last year. I made the mistake of staying there last June. The hotel itself is great, but I couldn't even bribe the security guy to let me bring a girl in. Consider the Sportsmaen's Lounge or the Freeebird or even the Del Ray, Morazan, or Sleep Inn.
