Im hoping to get some recent feedback on booking a room at the HLH.

This will be my first trip back to CR in about 3 years. I usually fly solo and stay at the Dunn Inn or La amistad.
This time I thought i'd switch my routine and try booking a few nights at HLH. I'd appreciate if anyone can give me any recent feedback in regards to what rooms to try and book; top floor vs bottom floor; the overall atmosphere vs the some of the other hotels; or if I should just altogether not stay at all and just visit.

I totally agree with Srilm. HLH is a great place to stay. I have stayed there my last 2 trips this year, and I will be staying there again in September. I will not tell you what is my favorite room because I do not want you to fall in love with it and book it, and then I will not have a place to stay. HLH does have some very cheep rooms, but they are nice with big windows looking into the Shower. Rooms start at $59 -CRT discount. And there is no chica fee for CRT members. As for food, the front desk has many menus from the places around, they will call for you and have it delivered. McDonald's, Subway, or just on of the many local places around the hotel.
