As Zman said, Farmica Parque (east side of calle Central just south of Ave. 4, the new walking street) sells generic V cheeper than any other farmacia I have found. Henex brand is 2 for c2000 (100mg). The Raven brand which I think (may just be my imagination) works a little better (less flushing of the face for me) is buy 6, get 2 free for c8200 total as of today.

I was told in 2 different Fishel farmacias that they now require a script and they are also the most expensice farmacias in CR.

OH! the funny thing about the Raven brand is that they are almost as big around as a dime and in the foil pack they look yellow. When you take them out of the pack they are blue. and they have a line thru the middle making it easy to cut in half for us guys that only use 1/2 at a time.

I've seen mixed reports on buying from the guys outside DR. Has anyone had personal experiences good or bad? I understand that the pharmacy is the way to go but as an option if you're getting in too late for an open place.

Dude. I've met some "professional students" in my short time that couldn't pull the trigger to save their life. You are reminding me of them.

How about this. PM me when you are in town and I will walk with you to the pharmacy that BB57 posted.
Then we will walk to the Sportsman's Lodge and see Russ.
Then we will walk up the hill to the pharmacy just pass the Amistad Hotel and get the cash discount.
Then later that evening we will walk back pass the Sportsman's Lodge and find "Al the Sausage King" .
And we wont pay double the price from the guys just outside the door at the Del Rey.

Or better yet, contact Pops and take his tour, because 200 post on the subject isn't enough.
