Friday and Saturday we had 17 girls and about 30 total guys in here from 2pm to about 8pm. Weekdays have been 10 to 15 girls. The quality is pretty good right now. I am working on opening at 9am for those with morning wood or viagra remnant hangovers  The whole intent is to get it back to a place where it is fun to stop in for a drink and maybe take a girl. A number of CRT guys were here and they will chime in with a client perspective.

That's good news on opening HLH earlier in the AM, stopped by before heading to the airport and was disappointed they didn't open until 11:00, so had to go give my $ to NF.

Paco, we have not made the change to 9am yet, I am making sure we can deliver the goods during our current hours first.

BK:

I stayed at the Dunn Inn at the end of last year and met you several times. The Dunn Inn overcharged me by one day and you ensured the girls tracked me down at my alter ego hotel and refunded the charge.

My thanks. You are a straight and honorable man. I look forward to going to establishments that you are involved in! I suspect your last employer may have to change the name to "The Done In".

Again, thanks

Pay in colones - it's fractionally cheaper. I did the same girl there 4 days straight. Priceless.

Guys it is $35 which is $11 off the $46 CRT price and $20 off the $55 non CRT price. The rooms are now very reasonably priced at $60, $70 and $80 all in for CRT members. When you see the rooms you will understand that the rooms stand on their own at that price and a $35 session is an added bonus.

Thanks Boyd

I was about to respond to the appropriate post but was distracted by a cute little HOT Cuban that just happenned to hear me speak Spanish and I never got to post it.

I have two subjects to hit on.
Number one; regardless of what the discounts may be, what should matter here is the fact that YOU are doing "something" for the CRT Brotherhood. The place looks fine, the new rooms are terrific and reasonably priced. If my reservation at the SL for Halloween doesn't come through, the HLH can expect my request for a room. I don't care if it's only a Standard. My only complaint would be that nasty walk up the hill everytime I get the urge to hit the SL.

Secondly; stopped by the Dunn Inn once again today to say hello to my friend Karol. There are 24 tables throughout the beautifully designed dining room. One was occupied by what I surmised to be two fo the owners. The three table card room had four people in it. All employees. The old dining room area had two men sitting at the bar and one other reading the local newspaper at a table. There were about 7 employees just standing around.
In essence, if this is the kind of business they are destined to have, overhead alone will KILL them!
It is a real pity though. The place looks terrific, but it is like a desert.

Oh... I guess from now on I will be allowed to become somewhat senile. Around 3:00PM, after I'm done with my local fan, two bottles of Centenarion Añejo will be placed at the SL bar for anyone who desires to share my 65th with me...

Hope to be in Gulch soon. March 23-29. Definitely staying at HLH. This will be my third trip . Halloween and Thanksgiving were great. Now ready to unwind from a cool winter. It will be great to be back in the saddle again. I will be pleased to see my friends again. I had the honor of Boyd introducing me to the girls at HLH during Halloween. That was when Pamela was working.

Aside from the recent changes at the Dunn Inn, I think I counted about 25 employees when I was there in February. I don't see how iandan survive with that much overhead. Goons standing around with nothing to do around the casino.

I never saw one person use the card room the 7 nights I was there. The food is too expensive and you can't put the food on the casino/ bar area on your room charge. I think they have grossly underestimated the lost CRT business. They also made no effort to change my room to a quieter room. I do feel sorry for the staff.

my guess is the staff is hired cheap enough and makes most of their money on the promise of tips that are no longer coming. truly unfortunate that these people will be most negatively affected.

Having talked with some of them, they already have begun to feel the pain and stress of not making any money. Two of them told me they spent more on their daily taxi fare than what they make at work. That is, "IF" they make anything that day.

It is a sad state of affairs for them and soon enough I can see the majority of the bar and dining room employees moving on to another job. I do know that they have been looking already.

The DI is doomed!

They believe that the CRT business is low level high maintenance business that is a short term necessity until they can get their "high roller" clientele in place.
Not sure what "low level" means but interestingly this is not the first time CRT members have been accused of being "high maintenance". I wonder do members really demand and bitch more than anyone else does or is it just the fact that we have a PLACE to bitch?
As for the high rollers, maybe I missed something but doesn't the casino basically consist of a poker table and a blackjack table...how many high rollers could they have planned to possibly pull in?

I figure "low level" means the CRT discounts we get, which made us cheap bastards in their view, and "high maintenance" means being wanted to be treated like royalty or a superstar diva. So they saw CRT'ers as wanting the royal treatment but not wanting to pay for it, hence the "high rollers" that they want.
