This is great. I respect their decision to now cater to families and eco-tourist . They treated us well when they needed and/or wanted our business. Now their core business is families and I understand why they want to protect that.

And it is the tourism high season right now, I'm sure there are plenty of eco-tourist groups using the Prez as a first-night stopover. The places isn't in trouble.

They do still offer a client rate for frequent guests, even though I was there a few weeks ago don't know that rate since my bill was about 80.00 less than quoted and not itemized. Either they gave me a huge discount or charged for only 3 nights but the bill said 4 nights, I had to get to the airport and didn't bother to ask

I can say this is true and alot of gringos were pissed.

My buddy stayed there until today. I was at HLH.
he stayed there because of the long timer discount.
But he was able to get 1-2 out of 10 girls in!!!!!

Even girls that were able to get in before, showed up as a blacklisted cedula!!!!
if they do not like a way a chica is dressed, BAM, she is out of there.

We picked up a smoking hot dominican for a three way. and i waited at the bar as he and the girl was cleared. i walk out of the bar 10 minutes later and they are still at the security desk. The girl changed to pants from her dress at the Del ray, but the security said her top was too tight???!!! he said she needed a jacket. My buddy said he had one. The security said it HAD to BE A WOMANS JACKET!!!!!???? he said it was and brought down a light jacket and with extreme prejudice, she was let in. But I will bet that she is now on a mysterious blacklisted cedula list.

There was a gringo that was staying there as well. We hung out with him a few nights. He took a Tica from Del Ray on super bowl night. Took her back to the presidente with no problems.

On his last night, he decided to take her again. he left and was back 30 minutes later pissed off. Apparently, she is now blacklisted???

I understand they do not want street hooker looking putas in the hotel. But come on???
if you want to take chicas back, DO NOT STAY AT THE PRESIDENTE

I had three friends there last week who encountered a problem. One attempted to take a girl who had not had any problem in the past and was told no guests after 9pm. He didn't even check her identification before turning her away. The next day he complained to management who advised that this was not hotel policy, it was a misunderstanding made by a security guard. The room was compted for the customer for that night and the following night the same girl was allowed to enter with no problem. It is difficult for guests to take many of the girls inside and the girls hate to go though the b****s. The rooms are nice and it is a great hotel in many ways, but other options are better for customers wishing to be discrete.

I like going to the Presidente and eating at the open-air bar there (I think it is part of the hotel but I could be wrong). Great place to take one of my ladies, have a nice cigar, drink and or eats. But stay there? Not for me; ever since I started trekking down there all I've heard is bad news and worse news about hassles and pricing. Phooey and nuts to the Presidente!

They have been know to refuse admittance to the News Cafe for certain ladies they feel do not belong there.

Due to a change caused by weather/flight cancellations, original plans for Feb 3-7 were changed to Feb. 9-13.
As a result, LA only had a room for me on Feb. 9 & 10. DI only had a room for Feb. 12. SL, Freebird and Morazon were booked solid for Feb. 11. Had sworn off the Prez 2 years ago after getting turned away at the front desk with my date for the night.

Did not want to, but booked for the 1 night at the Prez. A guy that I had met told me he had heard from a chica that the Prez did not allow any guests after 10 pm. I called the front desk and was told no such thing as a 10 pm curfew for guests.

Was selective that night in the HDR and found a part timer from Cartago that was dressed conservatively with a dress, not a mini skirt. I asked her if she could get into the Prez, she said yes and she had a light jacket with her in her purse.

Go to Prez and at the front gate, was turned away because of inapropriate dress. Was told that if she had pants or leggings, would then be OK.

We go back to HDR, she finds her friend that has leggins. She borrows them and we go back. Get past the outside gate and get to front desk only to be told that she could not get in.

I remained calm and tried to talk our way in, but no way. What a complete pain in the ass.

F*CK THE PRESIDENTE!!!

Nice to know, thanks. So far no problems, but I usually hang out with...ahem...a tad classier style of chica than the average shark hanging around the DR. So maybe that's why no problems yet.
