You guys scare me. First, for those that have - for whatever reason - done BBFS. Second, your STD info is often sketchy, contradictory, and in some cases just plain wrong.

I suppose this sort of thing has been posted before, but I started a new thread with lots of good STD info, with source links, so you can read up for yourself: https://costaricaticas.com/phpBB2/viewto ... 496#134496

I excerpted the chart from the UN HIV data, which is very interesting.

This chart, for UNPROTECTED sex, is interesting:
http://www.dph.sf.ca.us/sfcityclinic/st ... dchart.asp
(Yeah, it's from SF, so they list oral and anal sex before vaginal. What can you do?)

Of course some of you may be more comfortable with your current misunderstandings, so you might want to keep clear of these links.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you but are you comparing gay sex statisics with mongering statistics? Just so you know I did not read the site you linked, so I maybe wrong as to what's on it but I can only guess it was written with gay sex in particular.

Now, here is the intent of my poll............

Have you ever had bbfs with a sex worker (bar girl, spa girl, supposed semi-pro, titty dancer) in Costa Rica, with intent, within the past 3 years. It doesn't matter if it is your novia or not. With intent means that the condom did not break, it means she or you just slipped it in.

No. And no mention of statistics. Just risks from specific sexual activities. Both hetero and homo are covered. The chart is pretty clear. Just read the part that applies to heterosexual activities.

The site is the Department of Public Health, SF, CA, so it gives attention to homosexual as well as heterosexual STDs. If you did not know, there is a large homosexual community on SF, hence their giving that equal coverage.

It's just a chart. No big read. It won't be on the final. You don't have to click on it if you don't want to, but further discussion of it without you actually looking at it is not productive at all. :? Fair enough?

The one time I did, with a novia whom I was really serious about  , then I had to take a paternity test, not cheap here, and I still keep the result report (Negative) to remind me of my folly

Keep in mind that list is for UNPROTECTED sex. For me, it's the BBDATY and BBBJ risks that are operative. As you can see, BBDATY is very low risk, BBBJ is not.

Also note that some of those in the list as reproduced above are in the "Unknown" category. It's best to look at the original:
http://www.dph.sf.ca.us/sfcityclinic/st ... dchart.asp

Also the asterisks for that list:

Quote:
* You could be at risk if the receiver has just topped someone else.

** Very low risk.

*** Unprotected anal sex is a very high risk activity for a bottom, much more so than for a top. The risk of HIV transmission to a bottom during unprotected anal sex is 15 in 1,000 versus 3 in 10,000 from a bottom to a top.

I'm so relieved! I was worried about oral-anal HIV.

I don't need anyone to tell me about the various STDs we are taking a risk on.

But hell, after two tours in Nam and one in Korea, we learned very quickly that the piece of ass we were enjoying at the time could very well be that very last one in our lives.

So, YES. The answer is yes.

Mind you however, we did maintain a certain degree of common sense as to who we phucked. But there were times condoms were nowhere to be seen and we were not about to send off a special detail back to HQ to get us some.

I guess we did alright after all. I've been lucky enough not to have catched anything strange.

In CR, I do have one who will only go to bed with me and knows that I shoot blanks anyway. She prefers BBFS and who amI to argue. With all others, the umbrella goes on after a nice long BBBJ.

There are Laboratorios all over the city. You can walk your little darling into one and have several test done with results the following morning. Cost 80 bucks for 4 test.

Not smart. But I had to, just once in my life, have sex without a condom. It was good. I don't regret it. But yes, it's stupid.

The fact of the matter is normal heterosexual sex has a very very low incidence of AIDS unless one is part of a high risk group such as intravenous drug users or hemophiliacs. The inordinate fear of AIDs in the heterosexual community has always been unwarranted, overblown and is a result of unrelenting pressure from Gay groups. HIV never jumped into the mainstream population.
