It is a shame it happened IMMEDIATELY after opening. Dropping someone after working so hard on the expansion is strange.

I am following the many people that are on Boyds side. For whatever reason Boyd should explain his departure. There are two sides to every story. Maybe he left voluntarily but if he didn't I will certainly not spend my time and my money on an establishment that does not take care of their employees. I usually travel with a group of oil feild execs. and being from West Texas if a company can not take care of their people then we will spend our oil money elsewhere.

The open letter from management promises great service and discounts and business as usual.
But talk is cheap and only time will tell if this place can return to the heights it reached under Boyds control.

The letter does not address the CRT brotherhoods suspicion that Boyd has in some way been treated unfairly. The impression that owner/management treat their employees unfairly or do not pay for a job well done is the chief reason for the protests and distrust. An arbitrary and unjust owner is NOT going to be supported. Too many members have a strong sense of fair play.

Agreed...business is business...and we don't know what Bktuna's agreement was with the Dunn Inn from the get go. We DO know that the Dunn Inn is what it has become today by his efforts. If they have a legit reason to cut him loose...LEGIT...that's one thing...and they need to make their case to the CRT brotherhood if they want our business...however... if they just used him and phucked him over...there's going to be consequences.

And if they did Phuck him...like True Sportsmen has said..they need to make him whole and we need to hear from Bktuna, saying "It's all good"

I dont know any hard facts about what happened between the owners and Boyd, but based upon the rumor mill, and the less-than-gratuitous posts about the DI, it appears Boyd got used and abused. I feel for him especially after all the time and effort he put into the business development of this place.

At least one thing will come out of this... we shall see how much clout CRT mongers really have in the gulch.

I am going to let my money do the talking and walking. No more Dunn Inn for me. I believe that corporate greed got in the way of sanity. Yes the owner has the right to terminate an employee an I have the right to spend my money where it helps my friends. This situation is about standing up for what is right. I feel sure this was a preplanned event. Now I can preplan not to stay there.

Just left the bar, band was great and a packed house tonight, sorry for the bad news. Not trying to be a dick and understand the anger but think some posts are a little unrealistic like that the place (or any other) will go under without CRT support. Looks like it's doing well without many CRT guys already, a mix of clientele every afternoon and night. Surprised at all the locals, both Thu. and Fri they had about 20 people for private parties plus the hotel guests, a few gamblers and usually a half dozen chicas floating around. Don't kill the messenger.

I want to make a comment to the messenger. It appears to me you are having a good time at the expense of Boyds labor. Show some class. Whether the Done Inn makes it or not is an experiment of the power of the CRT network. Many people choose to cross picket lines saying they have to work. Can the members justify doing business with this venue for Panocha. There are many other places that offer these amenities. These people that work at the hotel have no job security , the owners proved that anyone is subject to be terminated. Go ahead sell your soul to corporate business. I will not sell out my friend Boyd and his family.
