I'm sure that some of you have been through this. I have a couple buddies that are going to CR with me in Feb (My 4th trip). However they were insistent on staying at HDR. I was trying to sway them to try other spots (HLH or SL) but to no avail. I'm at HLH for my stay. They aren't as adventurous as myself and probably won't be leaving the premises ofthe DR, KL, etc. I just like to get more "bang" for my buck I guess. What would you do to meet up with the group? Just plan on time for breakfasts and dinners? I think that my afternoons will be busy and I will wander to the pink palace for the evenings. BTW I've been reading posts on here for quite some time. Thanks for all of the help to ensure a good trip.

You could meet for happy hour daily, perhaps the CRT happy hours such as Thursday at Sportsmens and Friday at Dunn Inn, other days at the Blue Marlin. If somebody is late or doesn't show up, there are certainly worse places to hang out with a beer. I would also suggest that each of you bring an unlocked GSM phone with an 1800 band and to buy a $10 prepaid SIM card at the airport when you arrive so staying in touch will be effortless.

Maybe you could meet them at the coffee bar at HDR in the morning and coordinate your plans for the day. Or meet at a restaurant for breakfast at an agreed-upon time. That's what my guys do when we are not all staying at the same hotel.
