I took a one day rafting trip out of San Jose to the Pacuare river. It was a great trip. We used a company called Rio Tropicales. www.riostropicales.com. It was an aggressive rafting trip. All day adventure with about 3.5 hours of rafting. Fell out of the boat once and once was enough.

I used the same outfit last March and cannot say enough good things about them.

Service was out standing. They had this big ass bus pick us up at the SL and the driver put the rear tire in the ditch when he made the turn. Thought we were going to have to get out and push him out. Food was great to. HEADS UP for people who haven't gone rafting. Like on a roller coaster the best seat is the front.....as long as you like to get the wettest and bounced out of the boat. The front and the rear are the most active spots in the raft
