After 8 trips to CR(all at dell rey) i decided to give Boyd and the dunn inn a shot.I was not dissapointed.From airport pickup on 12-6 to drop off on 12-10 everything went as smooth as possible.If you are a VIP the benefits are terrific and if your not you should become one.The staff is helpful,friendly and seem to ENJOY working there.All this without the casino or girls at the bar.When everything is open it will only get better.Me and a newbie friend had a great time and the dunn inn is now my hotel of choice.Thanks Boyd you run a first class operation.

That's great to hear as I've got a reservation Feb. 8 and checking out the 16th...my first trip to CR, period! Not to beat a dead horse, but any latest word on when the casino with girls will open? Last I heard it was for Super Bowl pretty much for sure. I'm just hoping, greedily, that it will be open when I arrive on Feb. 8.

Soft opening first of the year, first big party is Superbowl. We are on the last leg of the furnishings and it looks great.

i stayed at the dunn inn first week in dec and had read that the remodel was loud. not true! aside from a little banging in the bar at breakfast (makes up for the banging from my room in the night) you wouldnt know they are expanding. the place IS great now and will be even better. not just boyd (who is very helpful) but the whole staff very honest and friendly. two incidents that i will tell and ask you to switch to the dunn inn. one the maid at dunn inn opened my window slightly during the day (second floor and safe) and closed it at night. it was so cool and fresh in my room. never did she disturb any of my belongings and ive heard stories of people scammed at their hotel. i felt my possessions were safe and the staff very honest. second, at the dunn inn my hobbiest buddies left their dumpy hotel and toured my room and all commented how clean and big my room was (reg deluxe double, i think, not even the new remodeled rooms) we left for a night of fun under the radar and when i came in around 2 or 3 am the security guy met me at the door, they actually watch for guests leaving and coming back and were concerned about where i had been. i felt safe within a few blocks of the dunn inn but they are keeping an eye on you for your safety. cancel the other hotel and book at the DUNN INN.

Are you saying they also arranged your airport transport?

Don't know if they did but they surely can--the house taxistas are both good men ((Sergio especially is DA BOMB), and for larger parties, van service is available.

I agree Dunn is great, I stayed in Kuta during some remodeling and my room was loud also, will find a different room next time!

yes they arranged pickup and dropoff $25 each way.

You might be able to beat that slightly pricewise but for the convenience it is surely worth it. At the end of my trips, I look back and realize that trying to save a dime here and there doesn't really matter. It's all about having a good time, and living out your days.

In July they did pickup from the airport for $25 and return for $20.

My stay was wonderful and I did not hear much construction noise at all.

I have yet to stay at the hotel but i have been there for lunch and dinner several times during my last trip, and i can say i really enjoyed the food. Get the chicken quesadillas...they were awesome.

I was at the Dunn Inn Halloween and Thanksgiving . Great place to stay almost all CRT members in Hotel . Great place for a newbie to learn from the most experienced mongers. Casino about to open an then you will be able to pick girls up within Hotel. I like the nice rooms an the personal attention . You are a VIP at the Dunn. First class all the way, an not expensive . Great value for your money.

59vette ....good post and rings true.....from bktuna welcoming you and checking up on you during your stay...hard to beat ...as for me I have know BK for many years and he knows that I know just about everything in san jose but still went out of his way to check on me and if I needed anything .....you cant fake hospitality you either have it or not.
