The Copacabana is closest hotel to the BB. I stay there every time I go to Jaco. They have a 10% CRT discount and no guest fee. We are staying there again May.

I am here now. Of course like a dumb ass I don't have my card. Have not been out to give you a report because I had two from SJ the last two days.

The band last night was great. The staff is nice. Shower is one step above chinese water torture, and the bed is torture.

If you can live with sharp pains in your back all day it's great.

Really it's beautiful right on the beach. Laid back and casual. Adults only. Chicas at the bar etc.

Have to turn the key and the lock on the safe at the same time otherwise it's very difficult to open.

So tell us--With that single-ladies special they have, see any doable non-p4p Latinas (or God forbid, Gringas) loitering about the premises? And more on the beds please--box of rocks, non-supportively soft or what?

Copacabana , Jaco beach

It is a twin bed and they are calling it a queen. It's not. The mattress is just old. Deceptively firm but lumpy. I sleep on a tempurpedic at home. These ancient pieces of crap are very difficult to sleep on after you have one of those. It's literally like sleeping on a cloud. I use to have back pain often until I bought that now I never have it unless I go back to a pos.

I have seen a few girls around but not many. I told a few last night to come over here in the afternoon. We will see how that goes.

The bands friday, sat and sunday night were pretty good. Fridays gringo band "mouse in the toaster" played some kick ass rock and roll. Saturdays band was good rock and roll too. Both worth seeing. Last night was latin music but still good.

If you get the "suite" you have a nice view of the band area and the ocean. You can sit on the balcony and watch the band from your room. That was pretty cool. Plus during the day you have a real nice view of the beach.

Easy walk to stores and the beatle.

I would say the food is ok. Front desk staff is pretty good. Pools are nice. Hot tub is not hot. If you are gonna have a fing hot tub it needs to be 103 or 104 or just rip the god damn thing out. I don't need a freaking cold jacuzzi. That is what we call a swimming pool.

Overall I would stay here again because the location is great and they are laid back about things. Live entertainment is pretty good. No chica fees. No hassles. If they could fix the shower and buy a decent matress it would be pretty nice.

When I checked out they hit me with a $25 chica fee.

Thanks for the Hotel report, Brother Sfn--don't remember that we'd had a recent one on the venue.

I stayed at the Cocal Hotel and Casino. No Chica fees. Hard to find a room with a TV in it last time I stayed there. Some Chicas in the Casino. XXX club above Pancho Villa

Divas above Pancho Villas is a huge rip off  if you go then pay drinks in cash one by one, Tabacon bar on the main street has live bands, locals, and pool tables, Monkey bar on the weekends is a strange mix of locals, beattle girls, drug dealers and chapelines, watch your shit here at all times for petty theft but the bar itself is not dangerous. Le loft is hit and miss for hotties but has good ?DJ's and mixes. Backyard bar in Hermosa about 10 minutes away has a surf contest on Saturday afternoons with live bands and ladies nite on wednesdays, claritas on the beach is Ok for day buzzing, local talent also hangs out at Bar Esaga on the way to Copa.... 8)

I couldn't figure it either, unless he meant something like this belt which by extension meant "Lady of the Manor". A puzzlement:
