Sunny Isles, go ahead, start fading my games, it will probably make your bookie a lot of money. Since when has 618 picks over a 4 1/2 year
period been a small sample size? I don't expect people to think that I am a good NFL 'capper because I am off to a 11-4 start on this forum. I expect for people to think that I am a good NFL 'capper because I have won 58.44% of the last 618 picks that I have made. I am either REALLY. REALLY, REALLY LUCKY (as in winning the lottery at 2 million to 1 odds lucky) or I am a very good NFL 'capper. To he who said that I don't know anything more than anyone else does on here about 'capping the NFL, my long-term track record speaks to the contrary.

CRT Handicapper is right that a true professional gambler never bets for the sake of having action, he only bets when the value is on his side of a game. I have a friend who says that the only time he ever bets even $100 on a game is on the Super Bowl. Its not how big the game is, its how big the value is. Very few people have the right intellect, the right temperament, the ability and willingness to be completely objective, understand the dynamics of handicapping the NFL, able to come up with the right system, e.t.c. to be able to win in the long-run betting sports. But that doesn't mean that NOBODY does, or that nobody wins in the long-run. Heck, I'd bet on a team if their starting quarterback just stole my girlfriend last week if I thought that betting on that team had value. And I've certainly bet against my Cubs and my Packers on numerous occasions. CRT handicapper is also right that no one can win every season. Losing seasons are inevitable, as I have had 3 slightly losing seasons in the past 11 1/2 seasons (I hit in the high 40's all three times, 48% twice and 47% once). A true professional gambler has to prepare himself for the inevitability of occasionally having losing seasons. But if one has more winning seasons than losing ones then he can certainly win in the long-run, especially if his losing seasons are only slightly losing seasons, like mine have been.

There are plenty of people out there who brag who don't back it up to get mad at before you even have time to start getting mad at people who brag who do back it up! Go after the real scamdicappers! There are plenty of them out there to choose from (like the ones who have ads that come out 2 months in advance who say that they are going to have a big play on a certain game 1-2 months down the line, that always cracks me up. What do you think the average I.Q. is of people who respond to those ads?).

Come on Cubby:

ENOUGH

This is suppose to be a fun contest and to most of us it is. it is not intended to be a vehicle for you to push your handicapping service.Ans frankly I find it annoying and taking away from the enjoyment of the challenge.

My apologies Irish Drifter. Just responding to less than brilliant comments made by others. I wouldn't have
made the comments that I made had I not been repeatedly bashed by several people on this forum. But your
comment is duly noted. Won't happen again. I will let my record speak for itself!

Cubby is correct 52.38% is the breakeven against a standard $110 to win $100 bet. We are above water as a group. There are enough threads with guys pounding on each other over trivial bs, let; keep this one civil.
