What does it mean when a Lodge says their cabin has an efficiency kitchen? I am looking to rent a cabin in Big Bear ,Ca and I am wondering what it means when the lodge lists the room as having an efficiency kitchen as opposed to a full kitchen. What exactly is the difference?

An efficiency kitchen is usually like a microwave,a sink,and some cabinets...most times there is a coffeepot and a small stove as well.

But you should call them and ask,because it varies.I have seen them where they were complete including pots and pans,just everything miniaturized,but I stayed at one in Mississippi once that was a cabinet with a microwave...the sink was in the nearby bathroom.

Still...the microwave comes in handy.
