Thanks to all for the feedback and NO I'm not one to wear the flowered shirts (getting Magnum PI flashbacks) and no sandals if I'm not within two blocks of a beach. I'm glad I found these boards. So much info to soak in and comical at the same time lol.

Since you're staying at SL, here's another piece of advice -- spend the 39 bucks and join CRT as a VIP member. In addition to other stuff, you'll get most of the fee back during your first trip in the form of a 10% discount on your SL room fee. On a courtyard room, that's 30 bucks off over 5 days.

What Brother MH said...plus the Monger Map can save you time and find you other venues; access to Members-only Forums and Chat interaction; and frankly a greater sense of belonging to this Band of (sometimes demented) Brothers.

I'll join sometime today. Since I'll be there Thursday, how do I go about getting my membership card? With it being last minute and all..............I know I wouldnt receive it by mail in time. I read somewhere of picking up at a certain location........can't recall where tho. HLH or something like that.

Yes exactly. The Membership card (a hard-plastic CC-sized card) can be got at the HLH.

Just to let you all know........I am now VIP :mrgreen: I didnt see an option to pick up my card at the HLH when paying by paypal. I sent an email right after the transaction was complete. Hope they can accomodate.

Walking SL to DR during the day = NP. I wouldnt do it at night.

I dont want the courtyard rooms which is why I booked 4 months in advance. SL FTW.
