Hey guys -

I'll be in town during Semana Santa which I know will be slow, but that's my vacation schedule so I gotta deal with it. I'll be in town starting 3/27 and flying out 4/3. I figure April 1 & 2 will be particularly bad and I figure on arranging one of two things, either days trips (rafting/zip-lining/ATV) or getting myself to LaFortuna for a couple of days for a little change of scenery.

Question is: Are day trips even an option? Should one expect them to not be operating due to the religious holidays? I wrote to Alex from La Amistad regarding this, but didn't get a response and figure I'd ask some veterans about this. Need to know before I book accommodations.

Thanks fellas.

Bossman I'd call the HDR one morning and ask for the tour desk, they should know.

All the Churches will be open. Other than that....nothing is guaranteed. It is rumored that even the fish can't be found.

boys ...

1. already got a response from a couple of tour operators ... tours are going and each type of tour i listed is reserved for the last half of the week.

2. this is trip #6 to SJO and some favoritas are already aware of my scheduled trip and will be available. if half of them show up (they are ticas and nicas afterall!), i'll be satisfied.

so, thanks for all your encouragement, but i think i'll be fine.
